Summary: I wasnt able to actually use then phone, I could play around with the features and everything and it was a great price because it was a brand new phone not a refurbished one. But I wasnt able to activate it because it was reported stolen so I had to get a different phone that I am not happy with. I feel this phone would have been a good phone, it was very nice, the keys and features were easy to use. It was just a shame I couldnt actually use it.
Excerpt: Also, I had problems with the phone getting greasy from all the texting and the opening and closing of the top part that I had been doing. After extensive contact, the keys and screen became oily with this natural grease, and that really bothered me. I would recommend the phone to those looking for a flip phone that is good for texting, but other than that I had serious issues with battery life and that’s what really made the phone a horrible choice in my opinion.
Samsung U550 is an average phone, usable, but not outstanding.

Excerpt: The Samsung SCH-U550 cell phone is an average cell phone best for users who just want a phone to talk on and basic texting features. I have this phone with Verizon Wireless service, and it works pretty well for me. I can browse the internet, I can talk to my kids and my husband, and I can text friends too. I don't use the camera feature much, simply because that's what I have a digital camera for!
Summary: I got this based on the many rave reviews on CNet. I had a Motorola Barrage (V860) and wish I would have kept it for one reason: reception ability. The V860 did a much better job of pulling in a signal. In places where the V860 would get 1 bar and be usable (could hold a call ok), the Convoy drops completely and says "searching for service". Otherwise it's an okay phone.
Summary: I like the phone o.k. I am not one that needs a lot of bells and whistles so no big deal on anything. The only thing I don't like about the phone is that it has some pre-loade pics on it and it takes up all of the memory. So when I take a couple of pictures it says memory full and keeps popping up anytime I go to use the phone. I have not been able to figure out why. Other than that the phone works well and I am glad that I was able to purchase it at a good price.
Excerpt: I got on after it had been out for a while... no problems on mine...i noticed that th back cover was hard to get off... i learned that i didnt need to be afraid to just pull it off. i thought i might break the thing... if you wrap you hand around the bottom of the phone, so your palm is on th back cover and you fingers wrap along the bottom onto the front and the slide the cover off... it slides easily. It's not a bad phone...
