Dont buy this phone.

Excerpt: I pestered my husband forever to get me this phone and when he finally did i was so very dissapointed. I should have stuck with my old motorola sliver phone. I really wanted the keyboard badly and the quicker text messaging capabilities is the only plus i can find with this phone. If you are textin g and someone calls instead of saving the message to drafts it simply discards it. You have to start all over when you hang up.
Samsung Messenger II malfunctions in less than a month.

Excerpt: I've had the Samsung Messenger II for less than a month and it has been malfunctioning since the second week in my possession. This phone has not been dropped, wet, or had any other mishap occur to possibly damage it internally. It began with not being able to answer additional calls coming into the phone when I'm already on a call. I was told to reset the phone by turning it off and back on again.
Excerpt: I bought the Samsung Messenger after my only Sansa one broke because I got water in it. I thought it would be a good decision because it had a qwerty keyboard and I text daily to a lot of people so that would be convinient. I also liked that it had a camera, which my old phone didn't have, so I thought this would be a step up. I WAS WRONG.
Excerpt: Honestly the Samsung Intensity cell phone is the worst cell phone I have ever had, and to top it off, Samsung has terrible customer service. I really don't understand all the positive reviews for this phone online. My sister mistakenly upgraded our phones to the Samsung Intensity phone after one year with Verizon. Big mistake. I wish so much that I could go back to my simpler, old flip phone, which at least worked.
Excerpt: The Samsung intensity is the worst phone I have ever had the misfortune of owning. One of the first things about it that annoyed me was that it is programmed to be on the "lock" function, where it automatically "locks" the screen after a few minutes. It was difficult to learn how to turn it off. In addition, the battery runs out pretty quickly. Even after I have charged it all the way to four bars, after a few phone calls, I will be down to one bar again.
Excerpt: The Samsung Intensity looks like a good cell phone on the outside, and it is as long if you only use it for calling people. Pretty much everything else on the camera sucks. The Verizon crapware clogs up the screen and nothing functions. It turns off after about two seconds. Whenever it's low on battery it makes a horribly loud noise. I've been woken up multiple times when I forget to turn my phone off at night and it's low on battery.
Excerpt: We upgraded to these phones because they were free from Verizon and we really wish we hadn't. It is probably the worst cell phone that I have ever had. During about 50% of the calls, there is an annoying echo that makes conversation nearly impossible. It is not a matter of reception area, because it happens randomly on both my wife's and my phones. I was so excited to get a full slide out QWERTY keyboard because I do a lot of texting. I have very nimble fingers but...
