Depends on the needs . . .

Summary: Samsung S8000 jet is a cute slim phone. It has very nice display with excellent colours. However I'm not satisfied with the picture quality for a 5MP camera. And it doesn't support either Skype mobile or yahoo mail. I'm not satisfied with the battery life as well.
Excerpt: i bought this mobile, thinking that for malta it will have and do all the things i bought it for!! i don't have the navigation, google doent work, i cant see you tube films!! what the hell?!!! i bought this for nothing!! pc studio doent update coz malta isnt listed!
Excerpt: my first impression about samsung jet is this hadphone is really awesome. i'm so happy the time i get it. but after using it couple week i realize that the phone is so-so only. application to install very very limited. the firmware of hand phone so poor but the hardware is good.
Excerpt: We, the Samsung loving folks who used our hard earned money in a time of financial crises to buy the Samsung Jet, kindly request that the good and caring people at Samsung respond in an urgent and public manner to our following concers: 1.
Excerpt: The main disadvantage of this phone is the lack of applications including 3rd party applications and samsung developed applications. The only applications you have are those the phones comes with but you cannot download even 1 of the billion applications available out there.
Pros: Size, features, multemedia, performance
Cons: Cannot download applications, No copy/paste, No smart dialing from contacts using names, No GPS in landscape, No scientific calculator, No standard mini usb, No multi touch, No push mail, No threaded sms, No preset on/off, No compass
this is a great present at a Sweet 16 birthday Bash but just not for me

Excerpt: This phone is perfect for teenagers in high school but not for business savvy consumers. For me a smart phone is something I use for business more than pleasure and while this phone has a whole lot of apps it doesn't deliver the things I need for my business.
An average phone which does not live up to its name

Excerpt: The Samsung Jet (S8000) is a phone which promises a lot but does not deliver on all aspects. The phone features a 5MP camera, resistive touch screen, various applications and a flashy design. The phone itself is stylish and has a nice curved design which fits nicely in your hand.
Excerpt: I think that this is an excellent phone, as I myself have had this phone for over 2 years, and it is still in perfect working order! It has absolutely excellent durability, and I believe this because I myself have dropped this phone down the stairs and in the bath and yet it hasn't ceased to amaze...
Pros: Easy to use, Sleek design, Good quality camera, Durable, Long lasting, Good battery life
A good phone for someone not too fussed about the added extras phones carry today!

Excerpt: Back in 2010, around March, the £30 per month contract offer on this phone seemed a good deal. Fast forward to 2011, and this phone really does struggle and it is clear to now see that it is out of its depth.
Excerpt: I have owned a Samsung Jet now for 9 months, it came free from Orange as part of my regular 18 month contact upgrade. I have owned Samsung phones for approximately 8 years now and have always been pretty happy with them.
