Summary: We have a cell phone and an internet phone. Recently I had to go out of town and my wife had to take me to the airport. I needed the cell phone at my destination and I was worried at the possibility my wife could have a problem on the 45 minute drive home and not have a way to call for help. The Tracfone was the answer. For eleven bucks I got peace of mind. Then while I was gone, our internet phone started acting up.
Summary: I ordered this phone for my daughter. I was directed to this phone because I just wanted a phone that you could make phone calls and text. I did not want the access to the internet. I was under the assumption that this did not have that kind of access. Well it does. And the button for the browser is located right next to the end button. Not a good location. Other than that I think it will serve its purpose..
Summary: This is a bare bones phone with limited abilities. The last Samsung my wife had for the same price had a camera and displayed the correct time. We had to replace that phone because it would no longer hold a charge. This one will not display the correct time for our time zone and has no camera or memory storage. I can only recommend this to someone that only wants a phone in case of emergencies or for basic conversational use.
Summary: Purchased for 88 year old to use when away from home. She wanted a simple phone to just place "outgoing" calls. The model with larger buttons will not work in the rural area where she lives, but she was able to place calls easily on this model. Doubt she will ever use the many options this phone provides.
Summary: We wanted a basic phone to have in the vehicle for emergency use. The only problem we have found so far, is the screen does not stay lighted up long enough for us. We are an older couple and needed something very simple to use.
Summary: I very carefully looked up all the info to make sure this phone would work in the area where my husband is staying. I was assured it would, so I purchased it. it will not work in the 37934 zip code area.we had many people work on it and it kept saying "no service". I called Tracfone and was put on hold for over an hour. I finally got a women with a foreign accent, who knew nothing. The phone was not a "bargain".
Summary: This is a simple, inexpensive, yet terrific emergency telephone. I, unfortunately, have the ability to lose stuff as I'm getting older, and I don't like buying a more expensive phone that I MAY have to replace in short order. This phone does the trick for me. It doesn't have the features the super phones have, but it has enough for me. The calls are crystal clear, which is terrific since I live in a very rural area where cell phone reception can be somewhat problematic.
