Summary: I have had horrible luck with past cell phones practically being demon possessed and disintegrating on me. Sooo not the case with this phone! It's held up for two years after being dropped, having been wet, and dealing with my general clumsiness. It's a very reliable phone! I like that I don't have to worry about butt dialing, that it is a traditional flip phone with buttons. It is no non-sense and rugged.
Summary: This phone, Samsung Rugby® III, is extremely durable, ideally sized, feature packed, intuitive, with a long battery life and it took me one year to find a feature I wanted that wasn't included, an hourly chime. Photos are above average while video is usable for documenting something that occurred, not HD. Otherwise, this phone is the pinnacle of flip phone technology, my preference.
The Rugby 2 A847 is one good phone for the money..I plan to keep a spare:D
3 June 2013
Summary: I bought the Samsung Rugby 2 A847 because I like to keep a spare on hand.I have had my current Rugby for close to 2 1/2 years. A normal cell phone life for me is two Non-Rugbys a year.I n ormally keep the phone in my pocket at work. I am a welder so my phone comes in contact with metal dust, heat and sweat moisture in my pocket.I have dropped it different times on the concrete it keeps on ticking like a Timex watch.
Summary: I use my desktop and netbook for computer functions and use my telephone for sending and receiving telephone calls and text messages. I do not do email or use internet on the phone so my Rugby is wonderful! Those who want to do email and internet functions still can, but I don't choose to and don't need a "smart" phone. I'm smart enough to use this phone. Love it!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, large enough font, easy to use, intuitived
Summary: I've been using this phone for about a year, and I have to say it's one of the best and most reliable phones I've ever owned. It looks and feels nice in my hand, and holy cow is it tough. I've dropped it on concrete multiple times and accidentally threw it into a brick wall once (oops!) and it has nary a scratch on it. The displays are also crisp and very easy to read.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, seriously this thing is a tank.
Summary: For those people not into smart phones, this is an excellent phone. I have not had one bit of trouble with it since I have had it. Really good battery life if you not into doing a lot of things like texting, playing music or talking on the phone. I find it easy to use I loved my Motorola tundra, but could not find one at a reasonable price. this phone is a close second. I really enjoy using it, and the vendor I got it from gsmsimfreephones out of Miami, Fl. is the best.
