Summary: I have had horrible luck with past cell phones practically being demon possessed and disintegrating on me. Sooo not the case with this phone! It's held up for two years after being dropped, having been wet, and dealing with my general clumsiness. It's a very reliable phone! I like that I don't have to worry about butt dialing, that it is a traditional flip phone with buttons. It is no non-sense and rugged.
Summary: purchased approx. two months ago, many features do not work in Australia, complicated system to access the limited features available, the battery life was quite good but now it can suddenly devour it in less than an hour, obviously a fault but I can not trace this phone on the SAMSUNG service site.
Summary: This phone, Samsung Rugby® III, is extremely durable, ideally sized, feature packed, intuitive, with a long battery life and it took me one year to find a feature I wanted that wasn't included, an hourly chime. Photos are above average while video is usable for documenting something that occurred, not HD. Otherwise, this phone is the pinnacle of flip phone technology, my preference.
Summary: I bought this item because my husband is always dropping and breaking our regular cell phone. This was the only heavy duty phone I was able to get. I am with t-mobil and this is ATT but it still works. The only thing is I cannot use all the features this phone has because of my carrier. I would buy this again if anything happened to the one I have.
Summary: This is my husbands phone. It was a little different from his old flip phone. I think it likes it better the more he uses it.Again it was unlocked phone so we had to change it to the cell phone company we use.
Summary: The Phone is rugged and able to take hard activity. The phone is slow to respond to button push commands. Texting takes longer while awaiting the results of a button push. The location of buttons for PTT along the sides make inadvertent operation of buttons while handling or carrying phone. This is a good rugged phone, built tough I would highly recommend this phone for bicycling, or other rough sports.
Summary: Phone turns off by itself. Makes no noise when it does so. Resetting, restoring, etc. do not fix issue. Support from Samsung is sympathetic but pathetic. Will only repair, not replace, so that that when your new phone does not work, you end up without a phone for two weeks (or more) while they fix their product. Told that they don't have facilities to provide replacement phones. Guess that says it all, too many that don't work and need to be replaced.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, does not work as a phone.
Summary: I got this phone because my company will not pay allow us to have smartphones. If you want a basic phone that does not need a data plan this is not the one you want. Most of the features on this phone require a data plan of some sort, which makes it an expensive basic phone if you don't have data. Also the navagation button is not real user frendly if you have big hands. Most of the time you either will back out of what you are doing or go to the wrong screen.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, useless without data
Very good phone but misleading box contents and features
22 August 2013
Summary: It is a very good phone that syncs very easily with my Bluetooth devices. The battery seems to last forever in standby mode (I am not a heavy phone user). A little big and heavy for a flip phone, but given that it is water and dust proof, etc., it is understandable. My biggest complaint is that both the box and the manual says that it comes with a MicroUSB to 3.5 mm adapter - well, it does not.
