Samsung Pixon 12 (M8910)

The Samsung Pixon 12 is a 3.1 inch AMOLED touchscreen quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, HSPA 900/2100MHz mobile phone/camera with a dedicated shutter button, touch auto-focus (touching the screen focuses on that point) that locks in to track moving subjects, Smart Auto mode that adjusts to conditions, and a 28-mm wide angle lens. The device has a refresh rate of 2 seconds and captures 720 x 480 pixel videos at 30 frames per second. The device allows users to upload captured photos via Samsung’s Share Pix service (with Facebook, Picasa, Flickr integration) over the Pixon 12’s built-in WiFi and HSUPA data. The Pixon 12 supports 150MB of on-board storage (up to 16 GB MicroSD expansion), has Xenon and Power LED flash; internal GPS, and FM radio with RDS.

Features

The Samsung Pixon12 is a 12-megapixel camera/mobile phone that enable users to take pictures with a Dedicated Camera Power Key with a 2 second refresh rate between two shots. The Pixon 12 also features Touch Auto-Focus (AF) tracking that allow users can select focus point with the touch of a finger. The auto focus feature will then automatically follow the object, keeping it in focus as it moves across the screen. Other features on the camera/phone are Smart Auto which allows users to capture the images as the camera automatically changes the scene and mode based on its object, background and lighting; a Xenon flash for conditions that require additional lighting; and a 28-mm wide angle lens. The camera on the Pixon 12 is able to capture videos at 30 fps on its 150MB of internal storage capacity. Users can send photos to friends and family over the Internet via email with the Pixon 12’s built-in WiFi and HSUPA connectivity. It also allows users to view photos taken with its 3.1 inch AMOLED screen that has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. The Pixon12 enables users to organize and manage photos by tags, file names, ratings, and time. In addition, the multi-selection feature enables users to pull up images in groups rather than one by one. The camera phone comes bundled with Samsung Share Pix software which lets users upload images and videos to popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket and Friendster. The phone also features connectivity functions like Wi-Fi and HSUPA. The camera phone’s Bluetooth® connectivity allows users to synchronize data and transfer files to and from compatible Bluetooth device.
