Summary: We purchased this phn thinking it would be a good alternative to the bulky sliders we have, but within minutes of receiving them we realized they would not work for us but decided to give them a try anyway. The key pad is so small that the tip of my smallest finger covers 4 keys and texting is a nightmare, not only that the user interface is so confusing my wife wanted to throw the thing out the window as we were driving down the road.
Summary: This is the perfect phone for you if you need it only for texting and calling. It is pretty user friendly. I down-graded from an Iphone so in comparison i am dealing with totaly differernt applications and what is available. it offers email and a camera. :) i dislike that it is somewhat hard to text on the small keyboard buttons. I like that i do not have to pay for a data plan. it has a great battery, I charged my phone 3 days ago and it is still going strong.
A solid low cost full QWERTY phone in a small and light package.

Summary: This phone is a good value for basic text and talk, particularly if you want something in a really small package without a data plan. (But if you really want a true smartphone, the HTC Aria is fantastic alternative to the Magnet in a similar size.) Anyway, after a month of use, here's what I like: - Size. With a QWERTY keyboard, it is simply hard to get much smaller and lighter. I often have to double check my pants pocket to make sure I actually have it.
Excerpt: There isn’t a place for a memory stick either, or maybe I just haven’t found it yet…? This phone lacks a lot, maybe it’s because I’m so used to high tech phones so much, but this phone is pretty basic, I plan on giving it to my younger niece, I’m sure she’ll have plenty of fun with it. If I’m not mistaken you can get this phone free with a 2 year plan with AT&T, so you have nothing to lose. But I don’t like this phone, maybe you will who knows!? I’m not a fan.
Excerpt: I recently was looking for a new cell phone to replace my Motorola Razor and I selected the Samsung Rant. I feel this is a good all around phone for those who are looking for a user friendly cell phones that make calls and has extras such as internet connectivity and full key board. With the contract extension this was a very reasonably priced phone. I use this phone daily incluidng incoming and outgoing calls.
Excerpt: I bought this phone as a temporary replacement for my others and was great for the time being. The full QWERTY keyboard is conveniant although it can be uncomfortable for people with larger fingers. Not much bells and whistles compared to phones nowadays but it gets the job done. Texting, Calling, Instant messaging with yahoo, aim, and msn a camera and a few demo games. It's a standard phone so don't expect anything else.
Excerpt: I wanted to love this phone, but it's not been a promising partner! First off, it would not connect to any bluetooth devices. It still won't. :c( A few weeks later, the buttons began to act up. I had to push them twice to get them to work. Now, there are a select few that won't work at all! AT&T requires that I have the box in order to return it or get it repaired. Of course, I don't have the box anymore... AT&T's cell service is a WHOLE different review.
Excerpt: The Samsung Magnet cell phone, is one of the better phones that I have owned in a very long time. I do not like flip-phones and this phones is a great alternative! If you are like me and do not like flip phones and need a great "pocket phone" this cellular phone is it! This phone is the perfect size if you just need to put in your pocket and then go!
Excerpt: The Samsung Magnet is an excellent everyday cell phone, especially if you can receive it free from AT&T with a contract purchase. The magnet is slick and comes in a great, vibrant orange color. My friends are constantly asking to see my sleek and handsome samsung magnet. The phone looks like a more expensive smartphone, such as the Blackberry, but it is much more slim and easy to slide into a pocket. However, because of its light weight and slenderness, it is easy to...
