Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announce the launch of one of two Beat Edition mobile phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the Samsung M7600 BeatDJ which is a touchscreen music phone that features a user interface that Samsung calls the Disc UI, which goes hand in hand with its turntable like Spin Wheel for navigation. The M7600 has ICE Power technology from Bang & Olufsen, and support for surround sound SRS 5.1 on board. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and has features that allow users to create their own music and sounds via a built-in application that Samsung ships with the BeatDJ. The BeatDJ also supports adding effects and filters to side-loaded tunes. It has a 3-megapixel camera and a 2.8-inch AMOLED (active matrix organic light emitting diode) WQVGA screen. Other specifications on the M7600 are a dimension of 112 x 51 x 13.9 millimeters, 2.8-inch (240 x 400 pixels) WQVGA AMOLED screen with 16M colors; mega pixel auto focus camera with support for geo-tagging for captured images, Smile Detection Technology and Face Detection Technology, video format support for MPEG4 / H.263 / H.264 / DivX / XviD file with video recording (VGA) at 15frames per second), video editing (trim video / image capture); song and artist information retrieval; FM radio with RDS (supports recording of broadcasts); Bluetooth A2DP connectivity; a 50 MB internal memory as well as support for up to 16GB memory expandability via a microSDHC card; GPS navigation to find your way around (network dependable); USB 2.0 connectivity via microUSB port; Quad band GSM / HSDPA data network, as well as a 960 mAh battery. The M7600 comes bundled with New PC Studio v1.0, Mobile widget and SharePix (Mobile Blog) software and applications.

Features

The Samsung BEATDJ combines UI touch-screen technology, mobile audio technology in designs inspired by iconic jukebox imagery. The mobile phone runs on Samsung’s DISC User Interface, and come with Bang & Olufsen audio technology. This mobile phone comes with 50 MB memory, with expandability up to 16 GB with the micro SD card slot. The Samsung BEATDJ features BEAT DJ application and DISC UI, enabling addition of user’s voice and sound effects to songs. Users can also ‘scratch’ the records on the clear 2.8" AMOLED display to create their personal music via the BEAT DJ application. The Samsung BEATDJ is also equipped with built-in real stereo speakers, powered by Bang & Olufsen’s ICEpower amplifier.
