  • Excerpt: the samsung instinct hd is a good looking phone. It has a touchscreen that you can scroll through and tap to reach everything you need. Apart from looking great is has one of the best cameras on a phone. It's a 5 mega pixel camera with flash but it also has a video camera that captures HD and the video looks better than many camcorders out there. You can't zoom though which can be a setback but the video quality is great nontheless.

  • Excerpt: I have had the samsung instinct for 2 years now and it has been the greatest phone i have ever owned. AMAZING NAVIGATION, and email service, 2.0 mega pixel camera could be better but this phone is still in my opinion one of the best sprint has to offer.

  • Excerpt: ive been using the samsung instinct for sprint for about 4 months now.  all in all i must say it is an overall well rounded touch screen phone.  now ive noticed that the price has dropped significantly since this phone was first introduced last fall.  now available from samsung and sprint is the instincts.  a more rounded updated version of the original instinct.

the samsung instinct is easy to use but can be slow

  • Excerpt: I like the phone, however, it can be slow at times.  It locks up alot.  I rarely have dropped calls.  It is easy to navigate.  I like that my favorites are at my fingertips ie facebook, movies, weather, etc...  I don't like the case it came with and finding another has proven to be quite a challenge.  I have a hard time with the ringer downloads.  I do like the utube feature but it tends to be slow.  The internet  is too slow also.

Its a good entry multifunction phone

  • Excerpt: Its a good phone overall.  It has its snafus though.  Sometimes when you look at the built in weather, the sports, or the news, it automatically can open the web browser and interrupt what you are doing.  If you need the news weather or sports scores this can make the process a bit longer and frustrating. A really nifty aspect of this phone is the under reviewed handwriting transcription.  If you have a stylus this can make writing emails on the phone a breeze.

  • Excerpt: This phone has come in quite handy. I can text someone, photograph them and video them. I have set up four personal email addresses from which I can retrieve and send, and there is room to add more. I can open applications such as Word and Excel, and even view image files that are attached to an email. I can view breaking news from CNN.com and surf the Internet, going from one site to another.

Innovative phone but expensive plan

karled, Viewpoints

  • Excerpt: The Samsung Instinct is a good alternative to Apple's Iphone.  It has a touch screen for input and most of the features are intuitive.  It allows you to list you speed dial by names, rather than having to remember which number they are assigned to.  The Instinct also supports a graphical voicemail system.  Incoming messages are listed by phone or by caller ID, if available, and are accessible by tapping the name/number entry.
