Summary: When I bought this phone, I thought that I could register it with my old cell phone number. When I received it, though, it still had another person's phone number on it, and worse, that number did not share an area code with my state. Also disappointing was the fact that I could not register it with a Platinumtel account. The seller, however, was kind enough to let me keep the phone, as well as giving me my money back.
Summary: I have had this phone ever since it first came out, and I can tell you what is bad about it. #1 is battery life. I cannot STAND a phone that can't even make it through one day with a fully charged battery starting out. If you don't want to run out of battery power before the end of the day, don't buy this phone. Another thing is the cheezy thin plastic screen. You absolutely cannot see ANYTHING on the phone outside during the day in normal light.
Excerpt: For my upgrade in December 2009, I selected the Palm Pre. It's now October 2010 and I've been to the Sprint repair store every other month for several issues. Since December 2009, I have had this phone replaced 6 times. Issues include - 2 minute start up time, constant charging, screen freezes, ongoing issues with the Internet pulling up, does not pull in current emails, touch screen does not work, and the apps are irrevelant. Please do not purchase this phone.
Summary: I recieved the phone on time that was a plus, it also came with two batteries but no charger so I had to go purchase one. The phone worked fine during sunlight but once I got in dark places with little heat the phone would freeze up and i would have to rub the phone to get it to work. Well this was a bother to me so I eventually switched back to my old phone b/c it got to the point where I could mash the buttons and the touch screen stopped working.
Summary: So my brother wanted a phone, because his broke awhile ago. But he didn't have enough money to buy a new 300-500 phone from sprint. So I suggested he just buy a refurbished no contract phone. OF COURSE, the phone they sent has stuff wrong with it. Main problem, it doesn't charge. Charger/phone didn't work. BUT we have insurence. So we bought this phone, took it to sprint as if we bought it from them, they replace it for free.
Summary: the phone sucks it always needs a recharged battery and the processing is slow as molasses i would not recommend this phone to anyone that would like to buy it because it is not worth the money the touch screen is horrible and always freeze's on u i would have rather spent the money on a more expensive phone with better features and better overall handling
Summary: If you want to use the Calendar application for anything other than seeing the current date, or if you want convenient email and text messaging, you should look for a different phone. This phone is difficult to use and has way less features than the Samsung Rant that I replaced. It is advertised as a "smart" phone, but there is little that is smart about it. The camera sucks bigtime, but it does do video (whoopie).
Excerpt: this phone sucks. it takes about 2minutes for it to start up. the battery only lasts for half a day even if you dont text on it much. when i tried downloading ringtones from http://myxer.com i kept gettng an error. im not sure if it was the same way for http://phonezoo.com or not, but i get my ringtones from myxer and no where else.
