phone gets hot and battery won't hold charger

Summary: The first 6 months I loved this phone. Runs on Verizon so great reception, speaker phone picks my voice up super, east to use and navigate, battery lasted a long time. More suddenly my battery won't hold a charge for more than 3 hours max and the phone gets so hot that it will stop charging and I get worried about it starting a fire. Upon suggestion I replaced the battery butt that diff not fix the problem. I am so bummed that I now have to replace this phone so soon.
Summary: I am a former Verizon user. I got this phone because it was supposed to work where verizon was available. Not necessarily so. While traveling in Oklahoma recently I got the following message:"Welcome to Verizon". And immediately I lost service and the whole time I was there I was unable to pick up a signal until I went back to the area where I received the message. I think this is unfair advertisement.
Summary: This is an okay phone, as long as you will never need to select anything from the keypad during a call. I would place a call and as soon as the other end picked up, the screen would go black. I would have to take the cover off the back and remove the battery to be able to end the call. And if you needed to "select 1 for english" or any other options from an answering system, well you can just forget about it, cause the screen is black.
Summary: I may not be able to finish this review because the phone is once again almost out of charge after light use. Pros-It hasn't broken down. Cons-Tricky keyboard. If you don't press the tops of letters, it uses the below letter. If your fingers are adult size, you'll have a hard time. -Annoyingly changes settings ALL THE TIME. Display goes to landscape, turns off wifi (this could be straight Talk preventing further usage), goes to airplane mode by itself.
Summary: This phone was at a fantastic price on Amazon after checking prices at Net10, Walmart and Target. $179.99 I got it $89.99. Net10 customer service has been good, actually great compared to Straightalk! Nightmare!! But this is supposed to be Verizon towers. I do live in a log signal area but usually not matter if it was a Verizon phone, Straightalk phone, 2 miles down the road full signal. Nope!
Summary: I got this phone as a mother's day present, I love the phone but it does not hold a charge.I have to charge it at least twice a day.I love the phone because I am not tied down to a 2 years contract.
Summary: This phone has a terrible battery life, horrible camera, and I often have no service in most areas. I am surfing the internet on my phone in places where I should have great service, and all of a sudden, my internet crashes. I would not recommend this phone at all, unless you need a phone just to own a phone.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, poor battery life
Summary: I bought the Straight Talk Proclaim because my contract with Verizon was just eating up my money. I like the service - I REALLY don't like this phone's version of android. My previous phone was the Blackberry Storm - which I loved. I wanted to get the new BB Z10, but it wasn't worth the premium paid to Verizon. Anyway.... This Proclaim android phone takes 2-3 MORE steps to do simple things. If I want to dial someone, I have to CONFIRM the that I want to dial, EACH TIME.
