Very disappointing smartphone
13 October 2010
Summary: The Samsung Omnia i910 was well-reviewed when I first bought it last year. It was my first smartphone, and I looked forward to having advanced features like Outlook syncing and GPS. But I found a number of problems including: - I don't like having a touchscreen-only phone. Ergonomically it is distracting to have to always look at the screen to dial. - The GPS receiver is very poor.
Excerpt: DON'T BUY OMNIA HD i have i8910 got it 20days back the screen froze (hung) gave to the service center they say after 5 days that they cannot fix it for they dont have the right software for it ..... so dont buy the omnia hd atleast in INDIA... u cannot connect to hotmail.....or yahoomail.... the roadsync stinks.......the camera in low light conditions is bad.... if u ever used a windows based mobile dont even think buying this piece of crap.....
Summary: I don't like this phone at all!! The main reason I got it was to take photos and videos of my baby as I never take my digital camera around with me, but the photos take ages to process and end up blurry coz he moves. Not sure if its the phone or my computer but I cant get videos I've taken to transfer to the computer, its like it doesn't recognise that they're there. The phone freezes when im using the internet.
Pros: Looks great. Nice large screen
Cons: Worlds worst key lock button, freezes when on the internet, slow photo processing
Summary: Had my phone for almost a year and love it as long as I dont have to turn it off. It takes 30 minutes for the menu to appear and I cant make or receive calls during this time. Just hope I never need my phone in a hurry.
Summary: Samsung did a nice phone with everything that someone would like on phone but forgot one thing that such a multimedia phone needs a strong battery. this phone's battery is totally rubbish. it can last 2 days on heavy use. thats why i went for HTC touch HD instead. Great Battery and easy UFI.
Conclusion: I owned an O2 XDA Mobile 6 prior to this. Samsung i8910 has great touch screen but finger sliding is not quite as responsive as iphone. Texting quick and easy once you realise that you can only have your contacts in one location (phone/SIM - NOT BOTH)otherwise texter ID does not show. Swicing between different key interfaces whilst talking is difficult and dialler does not include alphabet so inputing security letters cna be “fun”.
Summary: Mein altes Handy gab den Geist auf-Also musst ein neues her.
Hm.
