Needs Micro USB Charging!
W. Roe, Amazon
4 November 2013
Summary: I decided to pass on this phone due to its lack of a micro USB charging capability. All of my family's devices now use chargers that utilize a micro USB connector. We can keep one type of USB cord or charger for all devices at home, work or in vehicles and no longer have to look for a proprietary connector for any of our devices which has simplified life!
Summary: POS - battery life seems good but no one can hear me. Otherwise would rate higher don't know if defective or what just useless as is. Tried this phone again(different provider) and experienced the same issue. It seems to work well for others but somehow the phone doesn't seem to like my low voice and is causing it to breakup, can't believe two different phones would have the same issue otherwise.
Summary: Phone has a nice appearance and feel, but a cumbersome operating system. Trying to place a call can take 3 or4 clicks on the Select button and there is no volume control on the ring. The charger supplied with the phone was a non US type with a cheap US adapter which didn't work, making it necessary to purchase a new charger adding $27.00 US to the cost. Bottom line: I like the looks and feel of the phone, but would be much happier with something else.
Summary: I got this phone because it is water resistant. The phone works well with one major exception, I can not send or retrieve multimedia messages and there is no US support for the phone. When I try to send or retrieve a multimedia message I get an error message "configuration error". The message does seem to be recieved by the phone but it will not retrieve it for display. The phone does not send the message at all. The enclosed manual is very brief and is of little value.
Summary: This phone is as rugged as any I've seen – I've thrown it up in the air and let it drop onto a hard surface just for fun a few times and it just carries on. It also does a few things which I wouldn't expect: play music on bluetooth headphones, goes on the internet in a rudimentary sort of way, and so on. Unfortunately I've moved to this phone from a fairly basic Nokia and am still finding the interface insanely annoying.
Pros: Tough, good-looking, does all the basic stuff well
Summary: The overall quality of this handset is superb. Had this a while, but after a month of use I had to get another phone. The fatal flaw is that the volume level heard and sent by this handset renders it virtually unusuable. People on the other end can't hear you speak, and you won't hear them. You can forget about using it in speaker phone mode. Had a friend who had one of these and he had the same problem. Suspect it is related to the waterproofing of the handset.
Summary: This is a tough but basic phone. If all you want is to make calls reliably then it is fine. But Every other feature of this phone is terrible, the phone book is unintelligible, the pictures it produces are crap , the keyboard and text message interface are so awful that it make entering a text message nigh impossible and it won't play any music files, I tried mp3, wma, flac and a few others and it wouldn't recognise any of them.
