Not a new phone. Probably refurbished.

Summary: Although this phone looks new, it has some problems. Some keys on the keyboard don't work well. They have to be pushed several times before the character comes up. It is very difficult to hear the person you are talking to and I am not able to turn the volume up. Had I known these things before I bid on the phone, I would not have bought it.
Excerpt: I really dont seem to like this phone very much. I got it last December, and it has just been really crappy since then. I dropped it one day and the slider broke... I had only had it for about 5 months around that time...
When I sent back the 3rd replacement, I told TMobile to keep it!

Excerpt: First, no one could hear me and they sounded like they were in a tunnel. The battery lasted about 3 hours. Then, everything I texted showed up as mumble-jumbled (and vice versa), IF it was ever delivered. The third replacement randomly turned off all the time. What a piece of junk.
The samsung gravity is stylish and cute but not convient.

Excerpt: I myself own a samsung gravity. I got the phone when my crappy phone provider before finally sent me over the edge. I was attracted to the phone becasue it was so little and the colors were beautiful, a very chick phone. About a few weeks into owning it, the phone started freezing up and dropping calls like crazy. I then took it to the t-mobile store and they did their thing. Once i got home it started working so i thought the problem was solved.
Excerpt: The samsung gravity was seriously one of the worst phones i have ever gotten from tmobile. The included manual for the phone states the phone has a standby time of 5 days and talk time of up to 6 hours. NOT. I have hassled with this phone since the very beginning. The battery dies within HOURS of a full charge. Since tmobile refused to deal with the malfunction i went and got a new battery, just to find out i was having the same problem!
Excerpt: the samsung gravity is an ok phone. there are many things bout it that could be better. it sometimes really messes up and i dont be knowing what to do. the gravity will sometimes turn off and then on again for no reason. another problem the samsung gravtiy has would be that it sometimes send out the text messages to the worng person. that can some times be very annoying. its a nice phone because it is fashionable and light weight.
Excerpt: I picked this phone for its ease of texting capabilities, after going through 5 treos (kept freezing) and a blackberry (roller ball explosions). It is light on the features - but good for basic phone, text and email. In general, it is small, but heavier than other phones this size, and fairly durable, as my 3 year old likes to carry it around to talk to grandma, and it withstands a fair amount of abuse.
Excerpt: I have had this phone for a little over two years now and it has been a pretty decent phone. I have found over the years that the phones from samsung are quite durable. although now i have recently started developing problems with my samsung gravity. It randomly shuts off a few times throughout the day, doesnt always send text messages and sometime the alarm fails to go off when set.
