Excerpt: This phone is very touchy and sometimes seems to have a mind of its own. I have since switch to a new phone after having the Glyde replaced 3 times. I would do your homework on this phone before buying and make sure it fits your applications and you can deal with the troubles that come with it.
Excerpt: The Samsung Glyde phone is awful! My daughter and I each got the phone because we liked the way it slides open to an alpha keyboard. That is about the only good feature of this phone. We've had problems with the phone shutting off on it's own, sending text messages when it feels like it, the back light stayed on and ran the battery down and the battery doesn't hold a charge for more than a day and a half.
Excerpt: I got the glyde about 4 months ago. For the first few weeks it worked fine. Then it started to glitch and the screen would get stuck. It also doesnt hold a lot of messages in your inbox or outbox. If you are going to buy a cellphone i do not recommend this one.The touch screen also gets stuck sometimes.
Excerpt: When I first got the Samsung Glyde, I thought it was amazing. However, after about 2 weeks, I regretted ever buying it. The touch screen hardly ever works and it takes a really long time to navigate through the menu or even to just dial a phone call. The full keypad is nice, however, sometimes the screen senses your fingers moving and shuts off your text. I had this phone replaced about three times. I would not recommend purchasing this phone.
Excerpt: This phone is okay, but my husband got an iPhone and it is 100% cooler, easier to use, more entertaining, etc. He said it wasn't too much more. Just get an iPhone. I like the keyboard. I can imagine that if you have big fingers it would be too small to use, but for my small fingers it works just great.
Excerpt: Samsung/Glyde Cell Phone: I thought it was a great phone at first. but its not all whats cracked up to be. It has a slide out full keyboard which is great for texters like me. but wait that is only works for about four months or so. At least that's how long on my phone it lasted for. I slide it up and the screen goes all funny to the degree of I have to hold it in front of a mirror to read what it says.
Excerpt: I got this phone almosrt 2 yrs ago. On the second one. The second phone is a refurbish phone. It dosent vibrate. It takes me forever to send a text or call because it goes from screen to screen in seconds without touching it. So imagine if im in trouble i wont be able to call for help. But to get a third one will cost $89 with equipment replacement not doing that again. will wait till my contract is up to upgrade. the phone was free.
Hate it & am stuck with it for another year & a half.

Excerpt: I bought my Samsung Glyde several months ago. I previously had a Palm One Treo (much like a Blackberry) so I wanted a phone that had a Qwerty (sp) keyboard and somewhat of a touch screen but not soley a touchscreen as I am aware that they can easily become faulty. From the very beginning the touchscreen has been a pain in the rear. When I don't want it to be touchy, it makes calls just by simply having it in my hand.
The Samsung Glyde is gliding it's way right out of my heart!

Excerpt: The Samsung Glyde is a touch screen glyding phone for Verizon Wireless. This was actually the first Verizon Wireless phone I ever owned, and was very dissapointed in it. I had gone through about 13 of this phone before Verizon finally gave me a free upgrtade. Some of the issues I had: The Touch screen was VERY unresponsive, the phone fell apart, the keys stuck, random shut downs, sound not working, constant vibrate, home button not working, ect.
Is the Samsung Glide really that great of a phone?

Excerpt: I recently bought Verizon Wireless' Samsung Glide cell phone. I thought I was getting a great deal because I got a hundred dollar rebate. It turns out the Samsung Glide is not as great as Verizon Wireless claims it is. The touch screen is always freezing up, It cuts in and out even when I have plenty of signal, and it's always doing things on it's own when I'm not even touching it. In fact it started messing up the same day I got it.
