Calling basically leaves you without a phone

Luv2cook, Amazon

  • Summary: This particular phone has a long lasting battery but when you make phone calls it drastically reduces the battery life. I can only make a phone call for 5 minutes at the max until it completely dies. I will have a full battery that is just freshly charged and then as soon as I go to make a call the battery is low. I noticed though that as soon as I end the call the battery life "magically" goes back to having four bars again and continues.

Sipping was quick but the phone sucks

Melanie, Amazon

  • Summary: I loved the shipping it was fast. But the phone does not receive calls. And when you make a call it restarts. Also the touch screen is very touchy and small. Did not like phone at all. I could even look past the touch screen and the fact that its just difficult to use if it actually made calls!!

  • Excerpt: I got the glyde about 4 months ago. For the first few weeks it worked fine. Then it started to glitch and the screen would get stuck. It also doesnt hold a lot of messages in your inbox or outbox. If you are going to buy a cellphone i do not recommend this one.The touch screen also gets stuck sometimes.

Why did i buy the Glyde...

  • Excerpt: When I first got the Samsung Glyde, I thought it was amazing. However, after about 2 weeks, I regretted ever buying it. The touch screen hardly ever works and it takes a really long time to navigate through the menu or even to just dial a phone call. The full keypad is nice, however, sometimes the screen senses your fingers moving and shuts off your text. I had this phone replaced about three times. I would not recommend purchasing this phone.

  • Excerpt: This phone is very touchy and sometimes seems to have a mind of its own.  I have since switch to a new phone after having the Glyde replaced 3 times.  I would do your homework on this phone before buying and make sure it fits your applications and you can deal with the troubles that come with it.

Don't buy this phone!

  • Excerpt: The Samsung Glyde phone is awful!  My daughter and I each got the phone because we liked the way it slides open to an alpha keyboard.  That is about the only good feature of this phone.  We've had problems with the phone shutting off on it's own, sending text messages when it feels like it, the back light stayed on and ran the battery down and the battery doesn't hold a charge for more than a day and a half.

  • Excerpt: This phone is okay, but my husband got an iPhone and it is 100% cooler, easier to use, more entertaining, etc. He said it wasn't too much more. Just get an iPhone. I like the keyboard. I can imagine that if you have big fingers it would be too small to use, but for my small fingers it works just great.

  • Excerpt: I got this phone almosrt 2 yrs ago. On the second one. The second phone is a refurbish phone. It dosent vibrate. It takes me forever to send a text or call because it goes from screen to screen in seconds without touching it. So imagine if im in trouble i wont be able to call for help. But to get a third one will cost $89 with equipment replacement not doing that again. will wait till my contract is up to upgrade. the phone was free.

  • Excerpt: Samsung/Glyde Cell Phone: I thought it was a great phone at first. but its not all whats cracked up to be. It has a slide out full keyboard which is great for texters like me. but wait that is only works for about four months or so. At least that's how long on my phone it lasted for. I slide it up and the screen goes all funny to the degree of I have to hold it in front of a mirror to read what it says.

  • Excerpt: I bought my Samsung Glyde several months ago. I previously had a Palm One Treo (much like a Blackberry) so I wanted a phone that had a Qwerty (sp) keyboard and somewhat of a touch screen but not soley a touchscreen as I am aware that they can easily become faulty. From the very beginning the touchscreen has been a pain in the rear. When I don't want it to be touchy, it makes calls just by simply having it in my hand.
