Summary: This phone was horrible. The back of it is hard to get off to be able to access battery and the micro mini sd card. Within the first 2 weeks of use the keypad froze and I could only use the touch screen part. Then next week the battery went I could start with a full battery and after a 20 minute call the phone would be dead.
Excerpt: Good idea but terrible design. The touch screen is always changing form screen to screen with out touching anthing. The phone is such a pain to deal with. Selecting names form the address book is miserable to deal with. DON'T BUY. Reviewer is an employee or otherwise affiliated with the brand.
Excerpt: It is so much trouble just to text because you cant touch what you want. And have to wait for the screen to shut off before it works. And verizon won't replace it because they are stupid and "nothing is wrong!
Excerpt: 600 bucks. It has this glitch where when you touch it, it sometimes goes to the same part of the screen, which happens to be exactly where you're trying NOT to go. If I was religious, I would think it was possessed by the devil. It has a mind of its own. Potential owners, beware.
Excerpt: I had received a small catalog in the mail from Verizon and began glancing through the variety of cell phones. I've had positive experiences with Verizon before, so I wasn't hesitant to get a new phone from Verizon as well. It was love at first site... until about four months after I received my new phone. I would try to send a text message, and the phone would turn itself off.
Excerpt: I purchased this phone last March... and it was practically unusable by the fall. Although I was extremely careful, the touch screen went quickly and was unresponsive. Making matters worse, the case and screen protector they sell for this model are cheap plastic and are garbage. They don't fit correctly or provide any protection. Another awful feature- sometimes, your text messages mysteriously don't go through.
Excerpt: this was the worst phone i ever had. It generally had to be charged more than once a day. MY service went in and out. I was unable to use most of the features i was paying extra for, you know a data plan. for example i tryed to download the navigator feature and it would just go to a white screen. never was able to download. it was a slider which is ok. but the touch screen was a nightmare.
This phone has way too many problems; do not buy it!

Excerpt: The Samsung Glyde was the worst phone I've ever purchased. I had to replace the same model 3 times. The screen freezes constantly and the battery would not last very long. it doesn't 'lock' like it says it does, and therefore I find myself calling the first person listed in my contacts so often that he told me to delete him. When I did happen to dial or receive calls, I would almost always lose the signal. Even in my own home I couldn't get a signal!
The Samsung Glyde by Verizon is the worse phone ever!

Excerpt: I purchased a Samsung Glyde about a year ago. I enjoyed the design of the phone and how it was small, had a touch screen, and a QWERTY keyboard. The first few weeks I had the phone everything worked perfectly but shortly after then I began to have problems with every aspect of the phone.
Excerpt: got this phone about six months ago because verizon recommened it saying it was top quality and a competitor to the iphone which was hard to believe. i had heard people say iphone was really good but verizon does not offer it under there plans. i bought it and it seemed all right at first but then the keypad became very wacky. it is hard to work because you can push one place and it recognizes another entrant.
