Summary: This phone was horrible. The back of it is hard to get off to be able to access battery and the micro mini sd card. Within the first 2 weeks of use the keypad froze and I could only use the touch screen part. Then next week the battery went I could start with a full battery and after a 20 minute call the phone would be dead.
Summary: This is a great phone for someone who does not want or need a smart phone. It offers all the features which a user needs, less email and internet. Not everyone needs an Android or an iPhone. But in today's market there are fewer and fewer good phones available. Phones. Not smart phones. Just plain phones. I love this phone. I purchased it for my employee. It works great. Reception is crystal clear, it takes excellent photos, and slides open for texts.
Summary: I really like having a touch screen and a Qwerty keyboard on a device that is NOT a smart phone. It's kind of small, so I think it needs a case to keep from dropping it. I've found it easy to use, which is saying a lot for a "cell phone-aphobe".
Excerpt: The Samsung Glyde phone is awful! My daughter and I each got the phone because we liked the way it slides open to an alpha keyboard. That is about the only good feature of this phone. We've had problems with the phone shutting off on it's own, sending text messages when it feels like it, the back light stayed on and ran the battery down and the battery doesn't hold a charge for more than a day and a half.
Excerpt: I purchased the Samsung Glyde because it has a full keyboard and its not completely touch screen. The features are really nice and it also comes with myspace, twitter, facebook, and etc. I just wich the screen wasn't so sensitive. Sometimes the screen freezes up and I have to take the battery out to restart the phone. But overall the phone is a good starter phone for someone who is just getting into the touch screen phones.
Excerpt: ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS PHONE, but the only problem I have is that you really need to keep the screen clean because texting or the touch screen tends to touch what it wasn't supposed to. Pretty sensative!! I get my nails done every 2 weeks, so the keyboard that slides out, I can't use, so everything is touch screen for me. I love the picture quality. The brightness and characters are wonderful. Great nice big screen. Great sound quality. Battery life seems very good.
Excerpt: Me and my husband had been looking for a phone that fits both of us. He cannot type with T9 word of with the number keys, so with this phone and the full key board he can do it all. Me, i like to text T9 word bcuz i can do it with one hand and when i fell like going with the full key board i got it. We love our phones and plan on keeping the for a while Reviewer is an employee or otherwise affiliated with the brand.
Excerpt: It is so much trouble just to text because you cant touch what you want. And have to wait for the screen to shut off before it works. And verizon won't replace it because they are stupid and "nothing is wrong!
Excerpt: I am on the hunt for a new phone. I am with verizon and the Samsung Glyde has just come out. I am considering it. The Voyager is a little out dated now, it's big, alittle bulky, and not so cute or high fashioned. The Glyde is smaller and thinner and it looks like a better phone in my opinion. So, thinking about getting a Voyager? Go Glyde.
Excerpt: I got the glyde about 4 months ago. For the first few weeks it worked fine. Then it started to glitch and the screen would get stuck. It also doesnt hold a lot of messages in your inbox or outbox. If you are going to buy a cellphone i do not recommend this one.The touch screen also gets stuck sometimes.
