Pretty bad

Ale749, Phone Arena
26 December 2012
  • Excerpt: Unfortunately this cell phone isn't what I expected. It's a little bit old and it has no chance to get updated to a newer version of Android. The photos and videos it takes are awful. The screen quality is bad, too. I can't complain about the call quality because it's acceptable. The best things about this phone are the battery life and the fact that it has a QWERTY Keyboard which makes writing much easier.
  • Pros: QWERTY Keyboard, Battery Life
  • Cons: Android 2.3, Camera, Screen

A little trooper!

lucy luton, Amazon
27 February 2014
  • Summary: Does everything it's older brothers (galaxy 1,2,3 etc) do - runs most android apps, you can extend the memory through a card. I have a coupe of games, a sketch programme, and various ways of making music on mine. Small enough for little hands. Mine got run over by a car and still works!

The handset arrived faulty

Piotr Dopart, Amazon
18 January 2014
  • Summary: The phone was tested upon arrival and the loudspeaker did not work at all. Fortunately I am an engineer at an authorised Samsung repair centre, so I had it fixed in under a day, but the sole fact that a bought product arrives only partially functional is unacceptable.

keep away from it

Rock, Amazon
17 October 2013
  • Summary: i was looking for a cheap, small(!), basic, but trustworthy smartphone. this is everything but. to be honest, i quite like the phone's features, i loved it - when it worked. battery was amazing, lasted for 3 days. but after two weeks of usage, it became ridiculously unstable. it started to turn off and on again. then it was doing this more and more frequently.

Keyboard Issue

Mijacmad, Amazon
10 September 2013
  • Summary: I purchased 2 of these phones, great budget handset & features. Unfortunately (possibly I have bad luck), both handsets keyboards started to play up skipping letters, one within days the other after a month - kept in leather protective case and never dropped so can only assume possible software or physical keyboard issue. A shame as it's a great price and package for what you get.

Blackberry eat your heart out

John Fox, Amazon
11 May 2013
  • Summary: I've ditched my touch screen smart phones which I found difficult for positive text and app selection and for reading the screen outside in daylight. B5510 is easy to use with its keyboard and to select apps/screens it has adequate touch screen plus a touch pad. Has it all. Samsung has a winner if they keep this design model.

Fantastic Purchase!

Mr S Wheeldon, Amazon
22 March 2013
  • Summary: I have had many phones over the years but I wanted something which looked stylish and had a qwerty keyboard aswell as a touch screen. When you first look at it the keys appear to be small, they are. But even with my big hands I am able to type messages very quickly and accurately!. The touch screen is responsive without being jerky, you can also use the small roll pad to navigate which I have found very useful.

Love this phone!

Eleanor, Amazon
8 March 2013
  • Summary: Although it's about a year old, I don't really care because it's does exactly what I need it to. It's a great alternative to a blackberry with both a qwerty keyboard and a touch screen. It's easy to use which is always a bonus. Had a few problems with it initially, like I accidentally kept calling people, but these were all sorted out by googling to find the solutions.
