Summary: In theory, this phone sounds like a perfect fit for travelling to multiple countries and the USA, without being locked into global roaming and a contract. But it did not work. It would not acknowledge the 2nd SIM card when inserted, did not even give me the option to manually select. I had no communication access while abroad as it just would not cooperate. It eats minutes by continuing to notify me that I have voice mail when I do not.
Summary: I bought this phone for international travel and when it works I have no problems. Have used over half a dozen different countries sim cards but after 3 weeks travelling through SE Asia the battery wouldn't charge all the time and the phones software would crash on me. I tried switching batteries but it was the phone. I finally figured out taking out the battery and putting it back in sometimes would fix the problem temporarily.
Summary: Phone runs way too slow and android systems is out of date. Cannot use apps like Facebook or Skype, only texting apps. The big apps take up all the phones ram capacity and causes it to freeze.
Summary: I purchased this phone for international travel as it can accommodate two SIM cards. The order and delivery process from Amazon was flawless. But the phone itself has an inherent problem in that it comes with a lot of (in my mind "junk") software from Google and Samsung that cannot be removed.
Summary: I purchased this phone to use in Mexico. I found out very quickly that the memory on the phone is very, very limited and installing more than one or two applications such as skype and/or whatsapp will max you out. I keep getting a memory full message and had to delete SMS texts to clear the phone. This phone is very slow. One other big issue is that I never could connect via 3G only Edge network which is very slow. Overall it worked but I would not recommend.
Summary: You basically can not add any extra aps and even the updates that are on the phone there is no space to have updates. Great if you only want to check email and call. I am going to have to purchase another phone now.....
Summary: Before I review the cellphone itself, I would like to state that the purchase experience was perfect. The phone arrived right on time, perfectly packaged in its original box and with all the accessories. However, the model I bought has a serious drawback, which has nothing to do with the seller. The internal memory of the Galaxy Y Duos is too small. It does not even allow you to update de apps that come originally with the phone.
Summary: This phone is using the name of galaxy to make profit. It is like a toy. Not good on 2G,3G don't even think 4G. Bad Phone. Can't send e-mail, website pretty low. Size very small. The worst thing is the speaker volume, and normal volume that make the phone absolutely a waste of money. Furthermore, When using headset, you may hear all unwanted noise of all kinds. I returned it after 3 days.
