Features

The Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 is a Android 1.5 smartphone powered by an 800MHz processor, and supports Xvid and DivX playback at relatively high resolution. Powered by a battery that can keep the phone operational for 3 days before having to recharge it, the phone supports HSDPA 7.2Mbps data transfer rates. The 3.2 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen features native resolution of 320x480 pixels and supports 16mln colors, a home screen that consists of three separate pages that host application shortcuts, widgets etc., phone contacts and calendar that can be synchronized to Google accounts, access to GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth activation/deactivation options as well as the automated synchronization function. The Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 comes with support for SMS, MMS, email, IM and a built-in Gmail client; standard WebKit-based browser to surf the Internet; A-GPS with Google Maps and Google Latitude, that allows users to share current location with online buddies. The smartphone also features a 3.2-megapixel camera that can capture videos with a maximum video resolution of 352x288 pixels at 15 frames per second, DivX and Xvid video playback capability with maximum resolution of 720x480, bitrate of 1,500 kbps and coded at 30 frames per second (DivX)/720x480 pixels and bitrate around 1,500 kbps (Xvid).
