The main thing that got me was the screen size and super bright graphics.

Summary: I had to choose between this phone and the Iphone 4s because My 3gs broke. I decided on this one because I love the screen size, thickness and way better resolution/graphics. Found all my favorite apps from my iphone on the android market. By far the best thing is that you do not have to go through itunes loading music, pictures etc. Only downfall I can find is the battery life is not as good (compared to my daughters iphone 4).
Excerpt: Love the screen, love the size, but I HATE the fact I have to make this SMART phone DUMB so I can have it last atleast the time I am at work. Ihave tried to kill as many apps as I can can, finally had to disable push email, so its pretty much a large feature phne.
Pros: nice looking phone, most things are great
Cons: BATTERY, the worst. Each day I try to tweak it and still use it as a smart phone just frustrates me to the point I feel like smashing it on the ground, Samsung I love your electronics, but you need to improve the battery life on your android phones, if you want a beautiful phone this is it, if you want a smart phone that will last all day with using the features that makes this a smart phone, look elsewhere
Summary: One of the thinnest smartphones on the market. Very nice screen, decent camera for a phone. I get over two days of usage out of a charge, which is pretty good for a smartphone, but I don't use cellular data, only wifi data and cellular voice / texts, and I also rooted it and slimmed down the software running on it.
Summary: There seems to be two versions available through Amazon, one being an "unlocked version" and this one, which is labeled the "unlocked international version." The listing itself doesn't distinguish the two much, if at all. I ordered the international version and this is what I got: -Model Number GT-I9100 -4.3" screen (some U.S. versions have 4.5") -Running Gingerbread 2.3.3 (the latest I as of writing is 2.3.6 on my Nexus S) -No NFC -Connects to U.S.
Summary: I needed a new phone and didn't want the expense of a new just released phone. I am very pleased with this phone with only a couple issues. I wanted to get the complete manual but have been unable to find one. I also had a Bluetooth issue when using in my car and I was unable to resolve.
Summary: This was far less expensive than even the cheapest, shabbiest iPhone 4 I could find, and it's bigger, yet lighter, and more powerful. I bought it as a Ting phone, and the overall bargain is pretty amazing. My 12 year old daughter could not be more thrilled, especially since her more wealthy friends have the iPhone 5. Side by side, this more than holds its own.
Summary: Oct 23, 2013 WAIT before you read my original review I have new data. I was unable to lock onto an LTE signal using this phone. I went to the T-Mobile store and they said that is correct, that unlocked phones usually won't work on T-Mobile's LTE network. I then contacted the vendor Extra Virgin Tech and they sent email back confirming the weakness. I'm checking now to see if I can return the phone.
Does Not Support T-Mobile 3G or 4G or future 4G-LTE

Summary: This unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II phone does not function on the T-Mobile 4G network in the USA. This is an INTERNATIONAL phone made for the UK/Ireland market. It supports Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies of 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 1900 MHz, only. Unfortunately, T-Mobile offers only 2G service on any of those frequencies (850 MHz and 1900 MHz).
