Excerpt: Over the past few years we have seen a large number of ‘forgettable’ devices making it onto the scene running on Google’s Android operating system. We feel that the Samsung Prevail may very well have been one of these devices, had it not been for its price tag! Summary: I said this a few times in the video review for the Prevail and I'll say it again here. In all areas, the Prevail is about what you would expect. It's an inexpensive mid-range smartphone from a prepaid carrier. Yes, it did lag sometimes. Yes, the display is not the best one out there. Yes, the camera is disappointing. Pros: Android 2.2; stock Android (if you're into that); good battery life; appealing hardware design; good price.
Cons: Occasional lag and freezing; poor camera quality.
