Best phone I've ever had
18 October 2013
Excerpt: People thought I was crazy. Now its 2013 and everyone wants a phablet. This was and still the original champ. Loved everything about it. Granted I got tired of TouchWiz but this phone was still the best at everyhting. Phone calls are clear, screen quality is superb, touch screen is responsive and the camera is still one of my favorites. The build is great overall and after 3 years of use the plastic materials are still in great shape.
Excerpt: Been using this phone less then 2 years and I can't wait to change it when the contract is up, this phone isn't tough enough like iphone, the interface still sucks, I still get lost when trying to find a certain pictures, the battery is really bad, even on idle, imagine with 70 percent batt before going to bed, it might be dead by morning, even without touching it. It auto run apps on idle, I tried using Juice Defender, but it doesn't help much now.
Summary: This is a terrific cellphone, tablet, handset. I do tech work for a living and know the diff.. Everything is right on this device. Videos are awesome, sound level is great even through the speaker [especially if positioned just right], gorgeous display, WIFI is strong with no complaining [unlike so many], calls are crisp, storage is fine for nearly everyone, it seems tough. I hear of way less screen-glass fractures on this vs others.
Once you'd had a giant screen, you'll never go back!
15 July 2013
Summary: Wow! Don't worry about it being too large. Once you've used this thing, you'll never go back to a smaller phone! Cpu could be a bit faster, but not bad at all. The screen is gorgeous, so easy to see even with my not-so-great eyes! Actually fits in your front pocket much better than you would think it would. Make sure to get one of the thin, rubbery cases for it though as it's a bit slick. I dropped it twice the first day I had it. Luckily it was on carpet.
Excerpt: Originally I was skeptical about getting this enormous phone. Prior to this phone, I had used an iPhone 4 so you can imagine the adjustment from a 3.5 inch screen to a 5.3 inch screen. However, I got used to it within a few days. The phone might be a bit uncomfortable to use if you have small hands. The Note2 does feel quite a bit better in comparison to the Note1, though.
Pros: Fantastic piece of tech. The screen is amazing, even better than the Note 2 (which I have). The phone is very fast, has a ton of RAM and can run everything at the Google Play marketplace without *any* issues.
Cons: The batter life could be better, although I think it gets better over time (just the way the battery chip and android works). My Note II gets way way better battery life.
