Perfect for travelling
21 July 2012
Summary: There are a ton of reviews of the Samsung Note. I wanted to cover the International aspects of this phone. It uses a full sized SIM card. Great for traveling and you don't need to special (iPhone sized card) Solid signal strength and large, easy to read screen. Sound quality is also very nice. Very happy I choose this phone.
Summary: I've had many other smartphones. This one blows them all out of the water. Even the iPhones. I use my phone for all the non-phone stuff more than phone stuff, so this is the ticket for me. I'm used to using the giant phone as a phone now too. The screen is amazing for all the other stuff like browsing, maps and video... god the video! You can see the screen outdoors too (a deal maker/breaker issue for me). It's a clear 1080hd screen too.
Summary: I have bought this phone from Amazon twice. The first time I just could not get past the size of the thing. I thought I was going to drop it. I felt like my hand was cramping due to trying to hold it for long lengths of time. I have bought it a second time (Global is the BEST!) This time I bought an Otterbox case which gives a good secure "handhold." I also got the Samsung pen assembly which takes the tiny S-Pen and actually makes it a useful device.
Excerpt: May 31, 2012: Traded my HTC One X for it. No Regrets. ATT still doesn't release phones with 100% working IMAP sync, but I have a secondary app that works fine. I really love having a stylus back like I used so much in my Win Mobile Days. Nice features and capabilities too. Comes with Crayon Physics which I love as well as my games like World of Goo and Where's My Water are really fun to play with a stylus. Pretty heavy hourly usage and I get about 10hrs battery.
Pros: Nice Screen
Cons: Keyboards cover parts of the UI, Hard to hold if you get OEM Flip Case
Summary: I bought it with the idea of carrying only one gadget instead of a mobile phone as well as a laptop when I travel. Never owned an iPhone but thought its screen is too small. The Galaxy Note, which arrived only a couple of days ago, fits comfortably in my pocket and seems very user-friendly. I anticipate using it primarily as a mobile phone, short emails and text messages, taking "Kodak Moment" photos, and keeping to-do lists.
Summary: I've been using this phone for over 2 weeks now and I love love love it! Was a bit apprehensive that it would be too big but turns out that the size is perfect for reading e-books and sending emails on the go. It is rather big though, to use with one hand, but the voice operation function takes care of that. Not too happy with the battery life as I had run out of juice twice, at midday, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars.
Summary: THE PHONE ITSELF HAS MAJOR PROBLEMS SUCH AS SCREEN TEAR, AUTOMATIC SHUT DOWN, AND BATTERY FAST USAGE WHEN NOT OPERATING ANY SOFTWARE. ALSO, IT DOES NOT HAVE US WARRANTY SO BUYERS HAVE TO SENT IT TO LATIN AMERICA TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. AND THE SELLER INSISTS NOT ACCEPTING THE RETURN BY SIMPLY SAYS "IT HAS PASSED THE 30 DAY RETURN WINDOW" EVEN THOUGH ITS ONLY THE PHONE`S PROBLEM. GUESS HE JUST WANT THE MONEY. WELL, THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT.
Summary: Just perfect for me! I use to have an iPad 1st generation and a Iphone but now this can replace both! I take a lot of notes, edit photos, take pictures.. and it's really confortable to write sms and even long e-mails aren't a problem! Just the battery could be a little better.
the screen went black after having it for 2 months. this phone is expensive, and cheaply built, this screen problem is prevalent

Summary: the galaxy note screen has a pattern of goin black. this product went black meaning no light but everythign else works after 2 months. i paid 600.00 for an unlocked version. what a waste of money. now i have to get my money back. i have spoken to samsung asia, usa and canada, and they cannot help. the company is a waste too. they said call amazon. are they really a service oriented company. 600.00 for a pile of crap.
Summary: Looks very handsome (take the white one) and feels nice in hand. Love this product ... it is much more than a smartphone. I think it is more cost effective to get Galaxy Note than S3 for now ($580 vs. $680).
