Summary: Love the large HD Amoled display. The stock samsung software is bloated. But rooting and upgrading CM10 turned this unleashes its potential. Battery life is average though. The recent Note 3 solves the battery issue.
Love my Galaxy Note. Nice improvement from the original Galaxy S phone
3 December 2013
Summary: Coming from Galaxy s first generation phone, I was surprised at the size of the phone when I got it for the first time. But the size never bothered me anymore as I kept using the phone. The size is perfect for watching HQ videos because of the HD Amoled display.
Excerpt: My SGS II become too small and I bought Note. It's an excellent phone and tablet in one device. Excellent big SAMOLED display with 16:10 ratio is perfect for book reading and web surfing. Even two years old, this smartphone can cope with almost every android app.
Pros: - excellent display 5.3 SAMOLED HD, 16:10 ratio, - excellent connectivity, - good processor and graphics performance, - S-Pen
Cons: - laggy and unoptimized TouchWiz, - black color clipping
Summary: The SGH-I717 Note is great. Get ready for SIM Card HELL. The phone started off with a sim card issue. This must be a common problem. Stated no sim card installed. Then it would work, then it wouldn't. Then it stopped recognizing the sim card altogether. I put in a sim from a working T-Mobile phone.
