Buy It.

  • Summary: The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is really THE phone for anyone who is into android. Anything in the Nexus line is what you eventually want to shoot for when it comes to android. Very easy to unlock, root, and customize, with updates directly from Google and zero bloatware. The only flaw in this phone is it's fairly abysmal battery life (though the carriers do offer extended batteries now, and some of them even offer them for free) This is the best Phone I've personally ever...

Love it!

  • Summary: This phone is really nice. I have it rooted running Droid Junk rom and I couldn't be happier. The screen is bright and vibrant (so much it sucks the battery down). The no lag camera is AWESOME and it takes pretty good pictures. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the headset jack placement. I listen to lots of music while in the car or gym and the jack being on the bottom is annoying but its a small complaint about a outstanding phone.

Great if you looking for a video player & not a phone.

  • Summary: Poor signal issues and loud camera shutter that you couldn't turn off was to much for me to over come even this beautiful looking phone.
  • Pros: Wonderful colors on screen with great speed.
  • Cons: If you used the burst mode on the camera and took 20 quick photos it sounded like a machine gun going off. The shutter was so loud even if you had the phone on mute.

  • Summary: I have always wondered why would people buy other phones than a Nexus one.
  • Pros: Nexus experience gives you a bleeding edge performance and satisfaction.
  • Cons: It will not be the best nexus phone next year. :)

At $349 No-contract pricing, it's a steal.

  • Summary: I got the Galaxy Nexus unlocked from Google's Play Store, in order to forget about contracts, and of course, I am always looking for Google's latest. The $350 price tag from Google is a steal when you consider it doesn't come with an expensive 2-year contract. That not only means that I can use a pre-paid plan and not be bound to a contract, but also because it is an unlocked GSM phone, you can use it anywhere in the world.
  • Pros: Fast updates to Android systems (already has Jellybean), great flash on camera, screen just the right size to do usual phone stuff AND read a book, silky smooth and fast operation, no bloatware, HSPA+ compatibility, a true world phone.
  • Cons: The back cover is a little hard to put back on after taking it off, and this is not a gaming phone.

Very good product, highly customizable

  • Summary: I bought this product because, in my opinion, the phone is becoming a PC, and I want hardware features (dual core, screen size, amoled) and not software. Specifically, the ABSENCE of bloatware and other junk the carriers heap on you is refreshing on the Nexus. Updates direct from Google as soon as available, not after the carrier spends 6 months adding junk. Also, since this is a "developers" phone, the Nexus community is very active and brings more flexibility.

Get it on the play store, its cheaper

Anony, Amazon

  • Summary: too expensive here for something that doesn't offer official Google Support. Without flashing the phone, there's no way you'll be able to upgrade to Jelly Bean. The product is fantastic, but the price is not. Even with tax and shipping, its still cheaper on the playstore. I saved 20 bucks and have official google support (and warranty!

this phone is amazing

  • Summary: This phone is outstanding. I needed a reliable phone that was durable, and multifunctional.this phone was it. the android 4.1 operating system is incredible. the only complaint I have is that the notifications should be a bit more functional. I would like to be able to mark messages and emails as read without opening the app. Also, the screen drains the battery when it is on full brightness, but its difficult to escape that on any phone.

Perfect Condition

Drew, Amazon
9 August 2012
  • Summary: I bought the device used from warehouse deals in "good" condition, but to my surprise it came with not a single mark/scratch/dent or even dust! Also came with battery, charger, and headphones. The headphones are surprisingly great quality too! For all the techies out there be aware it is the yakjuxw build so to get android 4.1 right away, you gotta root and all that.
