Brilliant phone!

Yvonne K., Newegg
28 July 2012
  • Pros: Great phone, runs fast, it was really easy to convert over to Yakju and get the latest updates direct from Google. Brilliant curved screen, great for running games!
  • Cons: A little bit lacking on the CPU and GPU side, but this is easily remedied by overclocking. No cons, really, aside from it feeling a little plastic-y and cheap, which is fixed by putting it in a case.

Right now, best phone for me!

M. H. DAWKINS-ROSE, Amazon
25 July 2012
  • Summary: I just unlocked, rooted, flashed as 'yakju,' and now my handset is running Android 4.1.1, Jellly bean. I like the form factor (if this phone feels "plasticky," i like plasticky), i like the amoled display, a month into owning my GNex, however slightly, i scratched the screen (less than 1mm long).

Best phone I've ever had

James Barkman, Amazon
24 July 2012
  • Summary: This is by far the best phone I've ever had, period. I finally got tired of my contract plan pricing, and was also tired of waiting for Android Updates through the carriers. So just went for it and bought this phone. I could not be happier.

Good all around

Mike C, Amazon
23 July 2012
  • Summary: Bought this phone and it is fantastic. My older phone was an android so I just used google to sync up my apps and settings before switching the T-Mobile sim card in. Everything downloaded and set correctly, minus a few contacts I forgot to stick on my google account beforehand.

  • Excerpt: I only had the phone for just shy of two months before getting the SGSIII. Overall it was a different experience coming from a Droid X2. The phone just worked. No reboots or any lag whatsoever. You touched the icon for something and it just did it. Right away even.
  • Pros: Display, Speed, Camera
  • Cons: Battery, Battery, Have I mentioned the battery yet?

Only Android phone anyone should buy!!

Earl, Amazon
17 July 2012
  • Summary: This phone is the ONLY phone anyone interested in Android should purchase! The main reason for getting this phone is that it is updated directly from Google. This means that you will receive the newest version of Android, currently Jelly Bean 4.1, before anyone other phone!

Good phone with a great screen and UI

  • Excerpt: I got this phone shortly after Google started selling it for $400. I am glad to report that it is well worth the price. The greatest part of the phone is its hd screen, it is very bright and high resolution, webpages are readable in full desktop size without zooming in with both landscape and even...
  • Pros: 720p HD Screen, Great web browsing experience, Excellent UI, Lag free after Jelly Bean, Sunlight viewable
  • Cons: no microsd card slot, Low battery with apps that have a lot of white backgrounds

Way Overated and the reception is awful!!

davebuck, Phone Arena
11 July 2012
  • Excerpt: I have had several android phones. Like many others I could not wait for the Nexus Galaxy to be released. Well, it never lived up to the hype. The reception was awful. It dropped calls. When compared to the other members of my family who had a variety of phones, it always had less bars of reception.
  • Pros: ics, camera, screen display
  • Cons: reception, call quality, battery
