If you don't know which Android phone to get, GET THIS ONE!
7 July 2013
Summary: Bought this phone for a friend. My mom has one and I liked it quite a lot, which is interesting because I'm addicted to my iPhone. Its easy to maneuver and has all the features one could need. The size is great, it does text, email, calendar, phone, plenty of apps, good camera. Its a very good choice. I've since gotten to look at a Nexus 4, the follow on, and its just as awesome but much faster and its camera has more features.
Summary: Running close to 3 years old; this phone is still a great device. I'm currently waiting until next year to upgrade, as the current crop of "super phones" aren't all "crazy great" regarding their cameras. Perhaps in Fall 2014, unless the Moto X is "astounding," but I doubt it... Motorola seems to be too "independent" to have enough help from the minds at mothership Google, and probably are bringing out a "meh" device.
Summary: You cannot beat stock Android. Battery life on this phone leaves a lot to be desired, so buy an extended battery if you're purchasing this phone. NFC is a great, underutilized feature. I've used Google Wallet more than once and although it's not accepted everywhere, you can use it anywhere PayPass is accepted and it is very convenient.
Summary: on android 4.2.2 still has a lot of lag opening a app for the first time 3-5 seconds on a blank screen with the name of the app in the top right corner then the actual app loading screen battery life couple of hours
Summary: Its a very good phone, with speed, with looks. The only down fall is the speakers are very low volume and it would be a plus if it was waterproof and shock resistant.I would recommend this phone. CON bought phone from amazon through Hasselfreecell but it Did not come with user manual so it was questionable AS TO WHETHER IT WAS NEW.
Summary: Have been using this device for over a year now, and would recommend to anyone looking for a good value-for-money smart phone. Build quality and look & feel is pretty decent, and so is performance. However, that is not to say that it's without the occasional lag!! Battery lasts for about a day max, with always on HSPA together with background data sync.
Summary: I bought this because I wanted to save money but still get a nexus. I didn't like that the new one had a glass back and I knew that samsung makes a great phone and I am glad this is pure android.
