Summary: I have as yet been unable to make an internet connection and when I select contacts I am finding it very difficult to 'slide' through the list without selecting the first name my finger lands on. I am waiting to see my son at Christmas who is an IT wizard then I will be able to tell if it is the mobile or me!! Very pleased with the camera side of the phone.
Summary: i was very reluctant to give up my old phone but it was becoming more frustrating to use, i liked the look of samsung galaxy but it was far too big for me, i like a phone to fit in my jeans pocket and not to be at the bottom of my handbag. i have had the phone for a week now and am much more comfortable using it as i learn more about it (could not end calls properly at first). the samsung galaxy mini is a great intro to smartphones and i am now getting more apps for it.
Summary: I had my phone for such a short time that in truth I can't give a 'should I but?'altering review BUT my experience... This was my first smart phone and I instantly liked it and was won over by smartphones on the basis of this first experience. The phone looks great, it's a decent size and I was rather happy with the size of the screen.
Summary: This is the worst phone I have ever owned. Dreadful. The touch screen locks during calls. It's difficult to end calls, The buttons on the side are too easy to accidentally press during calls - for example I have caught the buttons and reduced the ring volume to zero and missed important calls. The swype text input method is absolutely dreadful - once you have activated it you try deactivating it - it's a nightmare trying to find the right controls.
Pros: Screen size is fair.
Cons: Far too easy to accidentally press the volume control and off buttons when making calls. Screen locks up during calls. Batterly life is abysmal.
Excellent little phone for those needing connectivity and functionality
15 July 2012
Summary: I was looking for a compact Android phone for connectivity on the move (phone calls, text, email and basic web for things like weather and travel info), available sim-free at a reasonable price. First try was the Motorola Defy Mini, but wifi didn't seem to work properly on that so I sent it back.
Summary: Samsung Galaxy Mini is a cute little phone, entry level smart phone. But if you tend to use your phone a lot, then make sure you don't leave a battery charger far away. Battery life is shockingly poor, with WiFi on and average usage you will be lucky if it lasts from morning till evening. Not impressed with browser speed and screen resolution of only 240 x 320 pixels, not enough for any serious viewing. But overall it is a nice phone.
Summary: Only just received it, so an early review. I am brand new to smart phones so had nothing to compare it with. I searched high and low for what I considered MY ideal phone and came up with this. Being a bit more PC literate than phone I am well aware that everyone has their different favourites and no-one will agree with every choice. So far this suites me. Quick list of immediate pros and cons. Most of them already well known for smart phones in general.
