Samsung Galaxy Mini Fully featured at good price
3 March 2012
Excerpt: "I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Mini GTS-5570 for around five months now, I bought it from a Vodafone shop. I looked at various smart phones, I needed one which was a reasonable cost to buy so I could use it on a pay as you go tarriff. The Galaxy Mini is smaller than most smart phones which are similar in size to the iphone, this means its screen is not the widescreen format but a squarer aspect ratio, the camera is fairly basic ...
Pros: Lots of free apps, Ready to go with email and facebook
Cons: battery life, voice activated dialling does not work, poor PC software
Summary: Bought this a couple of months ago as a Xmas present. Went for sim-free as a way of keeping the current PAYG tariff, which is no longer available. Has all the features wanted - quad band, 3G, wi-fi, USB connection, capacitive touchscreen, camera, music player, memory card slot (micro SD). It's also a sensible size to use as a phone (11x6x1.5cm), unlike some of the, almost tablet-sized, alternatives.
Excerpt: "==SAMSUNG GALAXY MINI GT-S5570== The Samsung Galaxy Mini is part of the Galaxy series launched by Samsung. It was released one year ago (mid-February 2011) and it comes in black colour, with a silver or lime green stripe around the edge and in white. I bought my black/steel grey Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 on June from the Carphone Warehouse with the Pay As You Go deal of the “3” network for £ 100. The device was unlocked and “3” was offering ...
Pros: Android 2 . 2 OS, good battery life, stylish design, wireless, FM radio, reasonable price
Cons: no camera flash, no autofocus, small keyboard for texting
Summary: The Galaxy Mini is the ideal introduction to smartphones. It's cheap (£10/month on Tesco) but looks good and high quality. It supports 3G and Wi-Fi and also allows you to install apps from the Android Market. The battery life is nothing to write home about and the built in storage is poor but overall, I highly recommend this phone.
Summary: The web browser is really fast and its very responsive the grip is good and the os. if it had flash support i would give its five stars. the gps is very good it works perfectly. i also like the colour i got it in white. the camera is a 3.2 megapixel it was an ok camera it also has built in youtube it never buffers. It needs a little more memory it has 461 megabites it comes with a 2gb memory card.
Pros: The web browser is really fast and its very responsive the grip is good and the os.
Summary: Overall it's not a bad little phone, its web capability is fine and it has a good user interface but the camera is so poor that I dont even try to use it anymore, it's worse than 1st gen VGA cams. The battery, however, is a joke, It's almost an offence under the trade descriptions act to call it a battery, after an overnight charge, the battery will, with very light use , last until tea time.
Summary: Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 If you are surgically attached to your smartphone, and have lots of experience with them then this is not the review for you, this is a review is aimed at `newbies' like me!!!! Overall this is a very competent smartphone for light usage, or the first time buyer of this type of phone. I have had this phone for about 3 months now, so I thought a review would useful, having had some time to get used to it.
Excellent Value for money and packed with features

Summary: I wanted a value for money android and chose this one. The one I purchased was sim free and has no network restrictions. Even has WI-FI tethering option which im sure network locked ones block out as they dont like us doing that do they?? So no need to root the phone to get access to the the hidden features. GREAT. I was worried as so many people were moaning about the battery....
Summary: The Samsung Galaxy Mini is a phone I wouldn't recommend for heavy mobile users, because has got various annoying problems such as the following: Low battery (can barely hold until the end of the day when using 2G internet, forget about 3G if you don't want to constantly charging the battery of your phone); Bad quality WiFi antenna (loses signal easily); WiFi can stop working if using mobile internet (you may need an APN app for that as I did) for a long period - this is...
