Manual is not in English
Lynn W, Amazon
28 November 2011
Summary: I received the phone on time, but the phone has a manual in French without any English. And the phone's default set up is in French too. It took me two hours to figure out how to set it up to English. After everything is all set up as English, there are still 2 French apps left on the phone.
Summary: This phnoe works perfect has all i need the software for sync has to be downlad from samnsung website...it update the firmware of android automaticly, has access to android and samsung app right away. Easy to configure the emails accounts..
Summary: The battery life is fine. I've noticed it doesn't matter what device it is, people always try to evaluate a battery on the first day. New batteries need to go thru many cycles to really take a good charge. My phone lasts two days with heavy use (internet browsing+talking).
Pros: small and not so expensive means if you lose or drop it, it's not like you lost a $500 phone. Samsung quality fit and finish is noticeable.
Cons: small, camera has no flash or autofocus. Not a big deal to me but some people are here to buy a camera. Also, I love the small screen and if I wanted to carry around a television then I would have bought one, instead of a phone.
Summary: I thought I could be careful enough in the first couple of weeks while I learned the phone that I would not need to get a cover for it, I dropped it a few times and had no trouble.
Pros: Compact, light, decent speed for internet browsing and downloading apps. The voice recognition works rather well. Things like turning WI FI on and off are found quickly and easily. The task manager is quite handy too and needed to help with battery life. It is an entry level smart phone and was d...
Cons: During the initial learning period battery life was horrible, I kept the wifi off and thought I was turning my apps off properly. I discovered I was wrong once I found the task manager but still you cannot leave anything running while in standby or it will eat battery power very quickly. Once I g...
Summary: A friend owns the same phone and I was able to test it out before purchasing one. As other reviewers have brought out, the battery life is quite bad. Be prepared to charge your phone every night if you run a lot of apps. I'll be looking into getting a new battery with higher capacity.
Summary: For the same (or somewhat less price) you can buy better phones from Motorola or HTC or LG. Dont go for this - waste of money.
Pros: Fast enough for this price range.
Cons: The display is really bad. Cannot use it for browsing or reading text in medium/small fonts. Camera is bad; touch is sometimes not responsive and other times it is too sensitive (when I try to scroll it instead performs a touch operation). There is no way to go for a refund either; I tried to go ...
Summary: I am a light user (almost no calls, reading a few emails over G2) but I cannot seem to make it more than 24 hours out of it. Yes, WiFi GPS Bluetooth off. With those on, maybe 4/5 hours. I have heard from a fried that this is the Android experience: great, but short run time.
Pros: Price, Android version. Great for starting the 'android' experience, solid build / Samsung quality.
Cons: Battery life. The only way I could probably have 2 days between charges is by not using it at all. It came with european charger and adaptor but it was missing the headphones. Non important to me or to be expected for a non expenssive smart phone: camera is really bad, laggs on any real task, mon...
