Summary: I had been using a windows 7 phone which great for a business user because of all the microsoft apps built in, but you could not customize hardley at all. The Samsung Captivate(Galaxy S) is the best out there with the android operating system. You change anything and everyting to your hearts delight.
Summary: This is an amazing phone far better than iphone 4 in terms of better viewability for the same size. Android applications need to be better, thou coming up. Hopefully this device together with far reaching applications easily outpace iphone4. I dislike iphone 4 which lacks the easy video transfer possibilities, card storage possibilities etc.
Summary: Well Samsung from AT&T have lots of problem ;( it is lock to them , so it took me 1 hour to find app that give me unlock code free and then this phone is lock to AT&T Market, you can´t install other APP so again that take me 3 hours to solve it.Phone arrive with Android 2.1, , again 2 hour solve it and now he run on 2.2 :) Now my AT&T run all App and is supper fast.
Summary: I would have given this an excellent except for a few things. First it is a wonderful phone, but it lacks a few things that are key to me. Push email, if you want it you have to have a gmail account. Gmail is great, except if it brings in your pop3, it signs each message as firstname.lastname@example.org via email@example.com. If you want pop3 with the app, Sprint servers have a problem with using SSL so sometimes you get mail and mostly you don't as well as sending the same.
Summary: I have not try the phone yet, but I know it is missing the flash light which is part of the standard accessories. Over all it is OK, compare the price with iPhone 4 which is more expensive but missing FM feature.
Summary: "Areas that need improvement are the incomplete bluetooth stack which does not allow file transfers, remote operation via GPS devices (TomTom Rider 2) or internet passthrough (BT to 3G or BT to WiFi). Use of Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G must be carefully managed, as they all drain the battery very quickly, allowing only a few hours of use before the battery dies.
Summary: So been playing with this for a while and generally i like it. This is my first smartphone and i couldn't decide whether to get a android, symbion or windows mobile device, but the external look of the galaxy pulled me in. The screen is amazing and gives amazing light and colours, its makes pictures and videos look great, the response from the touchscreen is good, i've personally have seen no difference between this and the iphones from the quck play i had with the...
Pros: loooks, Screen, Android
Cons: Lock button, battery life, no landscape keybaord out the box
Summary: I think the phone has good features and is easy to use. Unfortunately it randomly turns itself off multiple times a day and only resets if the battery is removed. This really impacts how it helps you to stay in contact with people and availability in an emergency. It was sent away when it was new to be repaired but this was briefly effective.
