Conclusion: While the Samsung Fascinate might have a cheaper (but lighter) feeling chassis than the Droid alternatives, definitely don’t write this slim Samsung phone off as a non-starter. If you’re considering a top-end Android phone from Verizon, the Fascinate definitely be included in the running. It could benefit from a little Android 2.2 love to add flash and push the performance bar up a bit.
Excerpt: Samsung, the Korean based technology heavyweight, has come forward and joined the followers of the little green robot, with the Samsung Galaxy. What we like The best bit about this phone is that it looks like a Samsung phone should. From the trademark 'OK' button, to the surrounding navigation button and 4 soft keys, all underneath that familiar Samsung wording. The Galaxy has a familiar, welcoming feel.
Excerpt: Samsung's Galaxy series of smartphones have long served as the face of the Android operating system. They offer great specs, fun features and a polished software experience through TouchWiz, the propriety user interface Samsung installs atop stock Android. The Galaxy S4 is beginning to show its age this smartphone generation, but it still offers enough to wow newcomers and longtime fans alike.
Pros: If you love a feature-packed phone, you'll love the S4; it's stuffed to the brim with software and hardware extras.
Cons: Many of those extras are a bit too gimmicky to be useful, and the phone's plastic shell can feel flimsy next to the glass and aluminum of competing devices.
Summary: We didn’t have any problems with the i7500’s reception quality, and its earpiece was loud enough. Plus the phone’s speaker outputted pretty decent volume – at the top settings you won’t miss a call even in a train or on a very busy street. While the vibro alert was average strength-wise, the i7500 allowed us to select a different alert type, which was a handy option.
The i7500 has already started shipping at around 600-700 USD without a contract.
