Avoid this phone

  • Summary: I agree with the previous reviewer. This phone is just awful - the screen will lock, freeze or just blank out randomly, so that on occasions I have to remove the battery in order to end a call! This is really disappointing, because I have a Samsung laptop which I love. But now I will never buy another Samsung product.

Always freezes at the wrong time

  • Summary: This is the first smart phone I have ever bought. I had selected based on superior features and spec versus similar priced phones. I am not a heavy user and only ever have one App in use at a time. I use it to read some news, but it is not up to supporting the likes of a skype call. The phone has a terrible habit of locking/freezing when doing the simplest task. Doing things like accessing contacts to select a phone number can cause a crash.

  • Excerpt: Had this phone for over a year and now is constantly cutting out when making calls, vibrating when not in use, have to charge up daily (most days) and while I find messaging okay, pic messaging can take a while to send. Bottom line is for the money, it's not a good phone!

DON'T BUY THIS PHONE

  • Excerpt: do not buy this phone, i loved it for a couple of weeks and now it freezes takes screen shots when you press the home button, it turns off randomly, you have to charge it every night otherwise it will die. i have had this phone for less than a year and it has no memory, i have just deleted all my messages, memos, photos, voice recordings, apps, everything and it is only allowing me to take 1 photo and it wont receive messages.

Terrible phone

  • Excerpt: I've had this for a while and it's only gotten worse the longer I've had it. As a usable phone, it's awful. The caller ID doesn't work, every call I get says "unknown". It'll disconnect for no reason, and won't ring on incoming calls even when I'm in full service. It regularly fails to send text messages and I have to reboot it at least two or three times a day. The touchscreen becomes unresponsive and will select buttons adjacent to the one you press.

Lots of problems

  • Excerpt: I've been using this as a temporary phone because my last phone got water damage. The touch screen is very poor, at times I jab it repeatedly and it doesn't respond. Typing is difficult because it will get the letter next to the one you touch for no reason. Battery life is abysmal. My last phone could go for 5 days without a charge; this one can barely make it through 24 hours.

  • Summary: i bought the same phone twice (samsung gio) the first one i broke the screen and now ive had to second one for a month and when i turn it on it turns right back off so now i have to get a new phone, i will never buy a samsung phone again they are garbage!!!

Worst Phone Ever

  • Excerpt: I've had this phone for nearly year, and ever since I bought it, it has done nothing but play up. The battery life is about 4 hours before it says, 'connect your charger'. It freezes basically all the time. The phone call quality can sometimes be really bad. You go into messages, select a contact and it opens up another contact and then you start writing to the person you never intended to. Overall it's really, really bad. I wouldn't waste your money on it at all.
