Samsung Galaxy 551 review: Value line

GSM Arena
24 January 2011
  • Conclusion: After a number of CDMA QWERTY messengers deployed stateside, Samsung’s intentions are clear – continue to serve an underserved niche. There’s nothing particularly exciting about the Galaxy 551 in terms of styling or features but Samsung’s first QWERTY messenger droid to work on European networks won’t suffer from lack of attention. An affordable smart messenger will be a great option to consider for many current feature phone users.
  • Pros: Slide-out full QWERTY keyboard, Quad-band GSM and dual-band 3G support, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA support, 3.2" 16M-color TFT capacitive touchscreen of WQVGA (240 x 400 pixel) resolution, Great QWERTY keyboard, Android OS v2.2 with TouchWiz launcher, 667MHz processor, 3.15 MP autofocus camera, QVGA video recording at 15fps, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS connectivity, 160 MB internal storage, microSD slot, Accelerometer and proximity sensor, Standard 3.5 mm audio jack, Stereo...
  • Cons: Glossy plastic is a smudge magnet and scratch-prone, No dedicated camera key, No Adobe Flash support, No live wallpaper support, No secondary video-call camera, No DivX/XviD video support out of the box, No document viewer

Samsung I5510 Review

Phone Arena
28 September 2010
  • Conclusion: We were very pleased with the simplistic, unpretentious design of the compact QWERTY-laden Samsung i5510 . Seeing Froyo and TouchWiz 3.0 perform in tandem for the first time out of the box, we are extremely optimistic about Android. The interface is snappy, smooth and functional, while the physical keyboard differentiates the Samsung i5510 from the existing Froyo pack.
  • Pros: Compact design, Comfortable QWERTY keyboard, Smooth interface with Android 2.2
  • Cons: Very basic Adobe Flash support, Mediocre camera without a flash

First look: Samsung GT-i5510 review

Pocket Lint
10 September 2010
  • Conclusion: While it doesn't have the excitement that the Samsung Galaxy S has at first glance, the tech specs under the hood certainly look to make up for it, suggesting this should become one of those solid performers for Samsung. We look forward to giving it a proper run for its money when it hits the UK later this year.
  • Pros: Keyboard, Android 2.2, 1Ghz processor
  • Cons: Not as sexy as the Galaxy S

Test av Samsung Galaxy 4

Swedroid
25 September 2013
