Excerpt: Galaxy 5 is one of the best Android phones of its time. Performed well, supported most of the apps while it existed in competition. Later did not even supported the Angry Birds game which was there for the phone earlier. In-built storage was not adequate to accommodate more than just a few of the apps. Used the phone as my first smartphone and is pretty impressed with the battery performance, design, call quality, interface and music.

Excerpt: I bought it from ebay.com in Jan 2011 and brought it to India. Was looking stylish compared to the contemporary models. While it was working fine. The bar was getting hot (upto 40-45C) when on charge. The battery goes dry faster. I had to charge every 8 hours. If you have some application like graphical games etc., you can see the phone dying while playing it self! Nowaday, the touch-reponse has also come down drastically.
Excerpt: Good Smartphone for People who want to start in the Android World, It's a good choice, I Like My phone even with their cons, The Camera is Mediocre (2 mp without flash) The Battery Drains Quickly, The Internal Memory (170 mb are u serious ?) The Physicall buttons Detract some screen Size, but are pretty usefull for people who makes a transition from a Common phone to an Smartphone..
Pros: Android (and all the posibilities you have with this OS), Cool Design
Cons: Camera, Battery Life, Internal Memory, Some useless Physicall Buttons
Summary: I've got two of these I bought on a trip to Ireland. It's a 4-star phone for me because it a) does a reasonable job, and b) it's dirt cheap. No, it's not a great screen. No, it's not particularly fast. But brand new it cost me €49 in Aug 2011 including tax without a contract. At that price, many sins are forgiven.
Summary: It's a phone made for the UK, delivered to the US in an opened package, because the seller included a US plug converter, and of course without warranty. A few days later I found it at Fry's for the same price, and same features (unlocked, quad band). If I only knew, it's nice to be able to return it easier, although only for 15 days. It came in time, and had everything in the package: phone, charger, plug converter, headset with microphone, battery, manual.
Excerpt: This phone is and auto-gift to myself for my birthday :D and I research a lot of a good and cheap phone that was within mi rich, and i found this phone that was the best choice I could make buying it! It's quite fast, very easy to use, with a very nice design and it feels good in your hand! In addition, the sound is great and play very fluid the videos on youtube or others.
Summary: I'm brand new to the smartphone world and I really enjoy this phone. My son has an iPhone and I'm enjoying some of the same features at a lower price. The screen size is a little smaller than I thought it would be which makes it a little harder to type. The SWYPE function makes typing easier though. Overall, a good value for the technology.
