Summary: I purchased this phone for my 15 year old son to use. He does not need a smartphone and "regular" phones are difficult to find, which is what led us to this phone. He had a Samsung phone prior to this one and it held up very well, lasting 2 years. The phone is basic, allowing texting and other basic features. Overall the phone has a cheap feel to it as compared to the previous Samsung phone he had.
The flight may not be a smart phone, but it does look like one!

Excerpt: This phone is high quality for a inexpensive phone, many people had actually thought it was a palm pre! The flight is a bulky, but it has a very large touch screen with a display size of 2.8 inches, resolution of 320x240 pixels, and it supports 262k colors. The screen is a little trouble some it sometimes is a unresponsive. most of the time you will be ending up doubling clicking to get to your destination.
A really great phone for those that don't need an iphone

Excerpt: I was very aprehensive about purchasing the Samsung Flight, but I am very glad that I did. The phone has very good reception and a ton of features that are useful for people who don't want a phone with the fees that the iphone comes with. The Samsung Flight is a slide phone with a full keyboard, but it is also a touch screen. As an amature photographer, it was important to me that the phone have a decent camera. While the 2 megapixel camera does not have features...
Excerpt: I've had the Samsung Flight Full Qwerty Cell phone for over a year, not becuase I love it, but becasue I cant upgrade at the moment. I got this phone after sadly dropping my iPhone and this by far is NO comparison. It's not a great phone. I'm not happy with it at all. The full qwerty keyboard is so small. You have to have super tiny fingers in order to type. You're always having to go back and revise your texts because of extra characters you hit while trying to type.
Excerpt: Not so happy with this Samsung Flight phone from AT&T. I got it because it was Free with 2 year contract and I have had numerous issues with the service/phone ever since. I am not sure if it is the phone or the provider at this point... What I like-I love the qwerty keyboard and the touch screen (although it doens't always work right for me). I like the size-big enough to hold, small enough to fit easily in my purse or pocket.
If you are used to an ipod or droid, you will be disappointed.

Excerpt: If you are used to a higher end phone, this is NOT the phone for you. My old phone was dying and I was 37 weeks pregnant. I was given a few options of phones to upgrade early, and this is the phone that I chose. Things that I like about the phone - It has a full full keyboard that makes it easier to type/text. The keyboard is a slider so I am able to close and lock the phone (a must with a toddler that knows how to use cell phones).
Excerpt: The Samsung Flight is an ok phone. Compared to other phones, it's good. But there are several phones that are better, like the iPhone, Droid, Blackberry, etc. The Samsung Flight is pretty much like any other phone, besides the fact that it has a keyboard. It has a full keyboard, and it's really easy to use. It's a slide phone, so you can use it without a keyboard. You may take pictures, but, obviously the pictures don't compare to pictures on a digital camera.
Excerpt: I dropped my old cell phone and it was taped together, so my mom surprised me with a new phone for a Holiday present. I was very excited when I saw that it was a Samsung Flight. I had always wanted a touch screen slide down phone. The color was beautiful as well, it was the red shade. Anyway, after the "prettiness" of the phone wore off I soon noticed that the phone was really not a great phone at all. The touch screen you have to force the number in.
Pros: Sturdy, full keyboard, battery lasts a couple days. Not full touch screen (like a halfway smartphone, great if you kinda want a smartphone but not really).
Cons: it's slow sometimes ex: i will type too fast and it can't keep up. The alarm will re-set it self to a silent volume, if you activate the alarm on silent or it will reset whatever tone you have. If you make your own ringtone the biggest the files can me it
Pros: It has a nice keyboard and it is easy to use
Cons: Going to different menus is horribly slow. Going to the text messaging some of the time would be slow and i would double press it and send a blank message or it would "save to drafts" Sometimes if I texted too fast then it would miss a lot of letters and
