Samsung Flight has issues, I recommend buying a refub, if at all
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I really liked this phone at first. I love the touchscreen/keyboard combo. They buttons are small, if you have thick fingers probably not a good choice. Not long after I had the phone the touchscreen became unresponsive. It still works, but not at first touch. More like after 4th poke. As time went on (short time, I have only owned the phone for 4 months) it started reseting itself.
The Samsung Flight is one of the worst phones I've ever had!

Excerpt: The Samsung SGH-a797 (Flight) is a terrible phone with good features. It's features are great, but the durability of the phone is not so great. Not only does it scratch easily, but the keys do not work often. During the evenings, when it's dark outside, the phone is supposed to have a back-lit keypad, but the keypad lights up on and off, and usually just stops. Also, the touch screen is too sensitive.
Phone mutes itself, pocket dials, and feels clunky

Excerpt: After much deliberation, I decided to go with ATT with another 2 year agreement with a new samung flight, and most of the time, I've regretted that decision. Although it has a touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard, it takes the bad from both parts. The Touch screen is clunky. The worst part of it is if you are right-handed, with decently high cheek bones, and you think you might just decide to rest your phone against the side of your head every now and then, expect to put...
Excerpt: I received this samsung flight as a replacement phone due to my other phone being damaged. I have not been impressed with the flight at all. The menus are not set up logically in my opinion. It is hard to navigate. The phone doesn't function well. In places I had service with my previous phone I don't with the flight. Overall it is just a pain and I cannot wait to renew my contract and get a new phone. Also, it will randomly not charge.
Excerpt: I wish there were more good things I could say about this phone, but unfortunately my experiences during the year I owned it were not all that great. The Samsung Flight itself is a fairly unattractive phone, sporting a shape and design that look like it's trying to capture the Blackberry crowd. Sadly it just ends up being fairly awkward to handle.
Excerpt: At first I really liked this phone but the longer I had it the more issues that seem to occur. I started to just have issues with the volume on the speaker phone and hearing people when talking to friends and family when not on speaker phone. Then I gradually started to have reception issues and had two get the phone replaced.
Pros: at first this phone was great, but i hated the text message alert tone. i found out that u can change it by going to Menu: settings: sound profile: and then click on normal and select your volume, vibration intensity, vibration type, and tone.
Cons: this phone lags like crazy, txting keyboard slows down and skips letters, i didnt drop my phone or anything and i cant send multimedia msgs anymore and i can only sometime retrieve them, touch screen is very annoying and spazztic.
"Good phone but not for web browsing nor bluetooth modem"
25 September 2010
Pros: Solid in hand, nice user interface, slide out keypad is helpful
Cons: Mobile web browser is junk (slow), mobile e-mail is $5 per month, per A&T this phone will not blue tooth as a modem for your PC, proprietary USB connector / data cables not sold at AT&T store, heavier & larger than candy bar phones
Pros: It's cute....that's about it. I guess the camera is ok too.
Cons: 1. The keys are tiny 2. Ttouch-screen works sometimes..it goes between being super-sensitive to having to touch the button several times to perform operation 3. It is cumbersome to handle 4. It's heavy (for a phone) 5. Battery life--ugh!!
