The Samsung Flight features a 260 K TFT touch screen, an integrated camera with video recording capabilities, digital zoom, and MPEG4 video playback. The phone also supports an MP3 music player, a microSD memory card slot for memory expandability, a full QWERTY keyboard, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth® connectivity and phonebook that supports caller groups, Multiple Numbers Per Contact, Picture ID and Ring ID. Other personal information management function on the Samsung Flight includes an alarm, calendar, calculator, calculator, to-do, and world clock. The phone also supports voice recording, speaker phone and email functions.
Designed as a next generation messaging device from Samsung, the Flight features a vertical sliding form factor, with full keyboard underneath. A textured design and ridge on the back optimizes the mobile phone for text messaging or to use the touch screen with one hand. The main display features a user interface which provides one-touch access to functions like shortcuts, favorites and messaging. The Flight, available in red and silver color options, will be available in November.
