AVERAGE PHONE BUT NOT QUAD BAND - INCORRECT ADVERTISING

Summary: This is an inexpensive basic phone to have when one travels. However, despite being advertised as a Quad Band phone it is not. It is a dual band phone since it only covers GSM 900/1800 frequencies. A true "quad band" phone covers GSM 850/900/1800/1900 frequencies. Although a dual band phone will work in most places, it will not work in some countries that do not use the GSM 900/1800 frequencies.
Summary: It's a basic, cheaply made phone but did the job. I only needed to use it for a week in Mexico with an AT&T pay-as-you-go phone. The fact that it is unlocked ,GSM, dual SIM is what made it useful. It was great for texting although you needed to be good at predictive texting.
Summary: Small phone so numbers are a little cramped. Biggest dissapointment was that the phone/ charger uses a non-standard Samsung connection, not a micro or mini USB connector, so you have to pack a separate charger just for the phone. Otherwise, the phone is OK for a good price.
Summary: Well, I did not buy this one for its features, but expected the battery to last long. This is my second phone - one I use to make international calls to family overseas (my colleagues call it my 'i am having an affair phone'). Hence disappointed to the extent the battery does not work otherwise it is alright!
Summary: Dual SIM useful for people like me - living in two countries. Lightweight good for cycling - can carry it on the shoulder. And battery lasts whole week - 3 days less than Samsung E1170 from same battery, but having better signal strenght. Still much for device serving 2 cards a time. Not the best sound, but acceptable. Weakness is occasional switching off on it's own. Same happens with E1170.
Summary: I wrote a negative review of this phone at first, because I could not find a way to disable the very annoying noises it does whenever you lock or unlock the keypad. Now, I have found there is a way so I'm changing my review. Here's what to do: go to sound profiles, select the customised user setting. You can then edit that setting, and go into volume. At the bottom there is a volume control for notifications, that can be turned to zero.
Summary: If you are just looking for a phone with no 3G, simply for making and receiving calls & texts, then you'll be alright with this samsung. The keypad is rather soft (plastic) so mhhh not sure how long that would last with all the buttons being pressed from making & receiving calls, and texting. Otherwise, for what it's worth, it's a decent little phone - it does alright!
Summary: Dieses Handy ist einfach gestrickt ohne viel Schnick-Schnack,Telefonieren----SMS. Das Umschalten der Karte ist recht einfach. Die Hör-Tonund Sprachqualität ist nicht so ganz Toll. Was Super ist ,ist der Akku und ich Arbeite im Aussendienst!!!!!
