Summary: I like the phone overall. My only gripe is that the keys on the outside of the phone are easy to activate changing certain settings on the phone. I don't know why anything other than the ptt button should have been located on the outside edge of the phone. I got the phone because it is a basic phone and I don't want a smart phone. I want a phone!
Best flip phone on the market without being a smartphone, good value for $$
12 January 2014
Summary: One of the best most rugged flip phones on the market has as many features that you can pack into a flip phone today without it being a smartphone. Easy to use tor my father than his older flip phone with less features.
Summary: I had a convoy before except it was the prior model, it was 2 or 3 yrs old. I did finally break it. It worked good and had an excellent battery life. I don't like the small screen but that is the world of flip phones if you don't want to pay for all the bells and whistles of the smart phones. The Convoy 2 is basically the same. They changed the texting format a little and it took me a while to find some things I was used to using.
Summary: If you aren't willing to jump into the smart phone pool, then this is as good a choice as any. My first Convoy 2 lasted two years, dropped and abused often. I replaced it finally as the keypad quit working and it powered down without warning. The new one is mostly dependable and does a fine job with texting, pictures and calls. No, it isn't "smart" but then all I want is a phone, not an electronic lifemate.
Summary: This is a phone we use for the Push To Talk feature throughout our crews. It is rugged and easy to use. Purchasing the product on ebay saves the ridiculous amount Verizon Wireless wants to charge.
Summary: This is a nice phone if you are prone to dropping it. The phone can take a lot of abuse and is very strong. It takes great pictures also. This is my second phone like this. The negatives about the phone are that it is not very waterproof. My first phone was in my front pants pocket after my jeans had gotten wet in the rain. I had actually put the phone there after it stopped raining. The first phone did not like the dampness and quit working altogether.
Summary: Its just a phone have not had it long enough to make too many judgements. Needed blue tooth for my hearing that was good, still as simple as I like it, I don't like a lot of bells and whistles
Summary: I've had the original Convoy for a little over two years. Battery life was always very good until the past few months. I figured it just needed a new battery so I ordered a very cheap battery online. That one also did not hold a charge very long so I bought yet another battery and still the battery life was short. So I figured the phone was causing the short battery life (about two days) and I needed to get a new phone.
