Got this one for my wife as she hates smart phones. (technology actually)

Richard, Amazon
  • Summary: Got tired of contracts and left Sprint after a co worker, using an unlocked phone sent to him from his brother in Canada told me he had gone with a no contract gsm system. Got this one for my wife as she hates smart phones. (technology actually). The buttons are large and easy to read, have a solid feel. The phone is well build with just the right amount of weight. The outer texture allows for a good grip.

Two were early models of smart phones and the other a 3600i

Philip H. Ness, Amazon
20 July 2014
  • Summary: This is the fourth Samsung phone I have bought. Two were early models of smart phones and the other a 3600i. I use the 3600i and my wife used both the smart phones. This phone is better than all three of the others, but much better than the smart phones. The menu is more logical than on the 3600i, otherwise they are about the same. My wife has not complained about this phone as she did about both of the smart phones. I plan to buy another as a spare for my 3600i.

Bought For Elderly Mother

bthwaithe "bthwaithe", Amazon
1 April 2014
  • Summary: I had no problem setting this phone up for my elderly mother. (She lives in Florida and has since messed up the ringer and the voicemail. Don't ask me how she managed that!) I take away one point because I had to use a green marker and a red marker on the lines for answering a call and ending a call. That shouldn't be necessary. The lines should be red and green like on all these flip phones. (Remember, I bought this for an elderly person.

  • Summary: i like this phone just fine. except the bluetooth doesnt work.. i have several bluetooth device's and this phone cant find them...other then that its a good cell phone. oh one other thing the charger for this phone is a piece of junk. not up to samsung standards. its a European type charger with a real flunky adapter so one can use it in the usa.

Decent "feature phone" with a couple of shortcomings.

Alexander L. Belikoff, Amazon
19 December 2013
  • Summary: I got this phone for my father-in-law as a replacement of an old, broken one. Good news first: it works and it is reasonably simple for him to handle and loud enough for him to hear. It also uses micro-USB socket for charging (amazingly, there are still models that use proprietary chargers). The bad: volume control. There is none. You are expected to navigate through the menus to change the volume and it's nowhere near simple. Then there is the price.
