I originally liked this phone
20 January 2015
Summary: I originally liked this phone, but there are a few little bugs. One annoying glitch is that after a year or so, the phone turns off when I close it firmly. it is easy to solve (I just make sure to close it softly), but that isn't a good thing.
Summary: The phone is great. I got my first one and it lasted over 2 years till I ran over it by accident. So I got another one and dropped it in a week and the joint thingy on the top right on the picture you see snapped off and broke. I don't recommend this to anyone anymore. Great phone, just poor design.
Summary: Note: The newer models of this phone make it considered as a smart phone, so Verizon will try to charge you more for most plans. I had found this out when I recommended it to someone I knew and they told me Verizon wanted to charge $80 a month for a pre-paid plan.
Summary: There are a lot of things to like about this phone. The two way hinge is genius although I am worried that it may fail after repeated use. I also love the adaptable keyboard which automatically changes from dialpad to text mode depending on which way the phone is opened.
Excerpt: The only complaint I have with this phone (and it is my 2nd Alias 2.. I have also owned the alias 1) The sound quality when talking to someone is terrible. Everyone sounds muffled. Luckily I text alot. However this is a VERY durable phone. I drop it constantly and it keeps working.
Excerpt: I had this phone ever since August. It's an okay phone but I do have my share of problems with it. The phone has restarted itself numerous times for no reason. It has frozen and restarted while sending text messages. To me, the picture quality isn't that great. Really wish it would have a flash.
Excerpt: I dont like this phone that much. Compared to the Env3, this thing is so hard to text on. The keys are slick and slippery. This phone is slow and cant keep up with me texting. A good thing though is that this phone is built really solidly. It cant take a lot of damage.
Excerpt: I got this phone after having an old reliable Audiovox color flip for about 5 years. The battery life was very short so it was time for a new one. The Alias 2 included a qwerty keyboard while maintaining a "clamshell" form factor. I instantly purchased it.
Excerpt: I'm on my third one, first one, keys were broken, second one, didn't hold a charge,no service what so ever, and froze up.third one, increddible, I really see how this phone works and what it can do,Size is a little big,and grip isn't the best, but i can live with it.enjoying texting with it, Eink, does...
Pros: good for real texters,no damage when dropped, great picture image, and easy open
Cons: battery life, smearing keys, little too big and bulky, freazes much.

Excerpt: I've had the Alias 2 for about two months now. When I first got it, I was very impressed by the E-ink keys and other "bells and whistles" on this phone. Battery life was great - I could go 3-4 days before recharging.
Pros: E-ink keyboard and dual-mode flip are great., Texting is swift and easy w/ the full QWERTY keyboard., Screen is sharp and bright., Love being able to take video., Tons of neat features.
Cons: Call quality is terrible., Reception is very weak - you'll do the "searching for service" dance., Battery life sucks like a box of straws., Very limited apps capability., Tough to open phone w/ one hand.
