Summary: From what I have been able to use on this BBB 9000, is good. It doesn't work with the Straight Talk AT T Compatible Standard Card. The phone is unlocked, but there no text service or internet service. You can make and receive calls, but that's about it. I will probably get a TMOBILE sim card soon.
The Blackberry Bold is an attractive phone with great features.

Excerpt: The Blackberry Bold is a good phone. Easy access to email, the internet, and Microsoft Office viewers make the phon a must for business users and students, alike. However, I've found the phone to be highly vulnerable to accidental damage. The phone is easily damaged by even the most minute amounts of water. The volume control button is no longer functioning, a complaint I've found to be quite common among Bold users.
Excerpt: The phone is very functionable and easy to use. The camera is good but it dosen't seem to have strong signal strength i seem to get a lot of dropped calls and sometimes the phone doesn;t ring until after someone left a voicemail.
Excerpt: <p style="display: inline;">My first impression was that the phone is a bit bulky (roughly 4.4 inches long, 2.6 inches wide and 0.6 inches deep) and weighs more than the Apple iPhone. Weak call reception and background hiss are the most common complaints, as AT&T's 3G coverage is limited, and the network reverts to the slower EDGE network in many areas.
AT&T Blackberry Bold-not at all satisfied after high expectation

Excerpt: Thought it was the latest & the best. But after using it for 3 months I feel I've been cheated with the phone. The phone goes dead all of a sudden & hangs most of the time (like in computers) and have to remove the battery to re-initialize it. Drops calls frequently and very slow to access data over the internet. Screen view is also not to the satisfaction.
Excerpt: The Blackberry Bold 9000 is a great smartphone, Its voice qulaity is amazing. The BIS and BB msgr are awesome. But when it comes to being a real smartphone it lacks in a wide variety of areas. The number of apps available like other smartphones are very few. The webbrowser is lacking in a number of things and doesn't have flash. The battery lasts for over 10 hr on normal charge. The phone's display is crystal clear and bright. Full keys offer faster typing.
Excerpt: I was a Curve user and when I heard about the new Bold started waiting like everyone else for the release. Once the Bold was released I got on of the first phones and experienced problems from day one. The phone does have a great screen and the options for the setup were better than the Curve. I also like the thinner size and supposed to be scratch proof sides. The keyboard was different from the Curve and took some getting used to, but now I love it too.
