No doubt, it's bold, it's beautiful (whoever though we'd get to say that about a BlackBerry?) and it's laden with features like a high res display, fast CPU, GPS, WiFi, excellent keyboard and the usual BlackBerry push email goodness. The AT&T Bold is also a large phone and relatively expensive for a 'Berry-- alas, nothing is perfect. But if you're a BlackBerry addict looking for the top of the line, this and the BlackBerry Storm are it. Though for traditionalists, the... Read more

A Bold New Phone for a Brave New World The very name of the BlackBerry Bold hints of a whole new experience from Research In Motion, but the company is overselling things a bit. In truth, BlackBerry vets will find that the Bold is really nothing more than a solid — if long overdue — upgrade to the standard BlackBerry hardware. Black-heads will love the update; the unconverted will wonder what the fuss was all about. Some improvements are immediately visible, even to... Read more

In a nutshell, we do like the Bold. If you are looking for a BlackBerry phone, this one is probably the best you can get, with great business and good multimedia features. However, unless you typically wear suits and not pajamas, you should take a look at the more affordable Curve series or the Storm with its huge touch screen. If you like the latter, keep in mind it may turn out not to be your cup of tea if you´re into heavy typing. Read more

I can honestly say that I have never fallen in love, that is until I first turned on my Blackberry Bold. Or did my Blackberry Bold turn me on? I guess that's a whole other show, right? Anyways, I never fed into the whole Blackberry craze, but when I moved to LA and got busier, I needed something to connect to the world. This thing is awesome. It's not just a phone! I can check my emails, get Facebook alerts, Myspace alerts, watch YouTube videos, use it as a GPS, check... Read more

  2. "In Theory Great. Mine is very unstable"

This is my second Bold as my first one died and had to go back. My new one has not died yet, but like my old Bold and the 8300 I upgraded from, the OS is very unstable. The unit either crashes altogether or a particular app will just decide not to work. This morning it was my outgoing email. This has happened so many times that I am now strongly considering getting an I phone. This would have been a great phone if it actually worked right. Read more

Great device! My 1st PDAtype phone. Awesome for business use, now I can work more hours more efficiently! Even on vacation this thing can keep me working! Maybe that's not the best attribute but with your own business it's nice to be able to travel and still be on top of everything. The keyboard is large enough to be able to type pretty well. I'm 56 and a guy and I can do a decent job with the keyboard. A standard phone takes 5X longer and is much more frustrating to... Read more

When upgrading my phone I considered the iPhone and the N97 from Nokia. I eventually chose this phone without prior knowledge of Blackberries and how they work. What I found was a phone that works perfectly for me. If you enjoy using your technology and finding new and interesting functions and features whilst going around your daily routine then this is the phone for you. The Bold is your computer on the move. While this phone does take a while to setup, and there are... Read more
