Prestigio MultiPhone PAP4500 Duo – Review
24 June 2013
Summary: Overall the Prestigio 4500 is well built phone desperately in need of further software updates to fix the odd roaming SIM behaviour. Software updates can only fix so much though. The hardware behind the camera and the sound quality cannot be fixed. For the price though something always has to give. Lastly a big thanks to Clove got lending us the Prestigio, it is available here in either white or black for £178 inc VAT.
Cons: Plasticy feel to whole device, Strangely partitioned internal memory, Slight lag in various parts of the UI, Normal SIM size (large), Strange Roaming feature in SIM setup, Camera struggles in certain situations
Conclusion: This is by far the most accomplished dual-SIM phone we've seen recently. It's certainly good enough to use as your daily handset both in the UK, and when you're off travelling and need to have access to a local SIM, while staying in touch with your family or business contacts at home. The battery life is the phone's biggest problem, to be honest, but with two connections to two networks, it's inevitable that this is going to drain power very quickly.
Pros: Decent price, flexible, good phone in general,
Cons: Atrocious battery, can't have two 3G services at the same time
Conclusion: The Prestigio MultiPhone PAP4500 Duo is a good debut mid-range smartphone, allowing you to use two SIM cards at once. Only quirks such as below average battery life keep us from fully recommending it.
