Pantech Link II great texting phone at a good price.

Summary: The phone was a Christmas gift, and she really loves it. It does take a little getting used to from her previous phone, and it was too bad it did not have a complete manual. However it is just the right phone for doing a lot of texting, and not paying a smart phone price.
Summary: I bought this phone for my grandson. He had a phone he did not like to use.Now we cant keep him off the phone. This phone looks very nice and all the features are easy to use.It keeps a long battery life and he doesn't have to charge it a lot.The price was good and I am happy with purchasing it.
Pantech Slate is great for a free phone...wouldn't pay a lot!

Excerpt: overall an okay phone. The vibrate mode doesn't vibrate hard though and even when it's in my pocket I can rarely feel it! Besides that a great phone for being "free" with my 2 year contract. Also doesn't give as many options for settings as other phones I have had.
Excerpt: My son received this phone for Christmas. He has just turned 12 so we wanted a fairly bare bones, no nonsense phone that does not have alot of bells and whistles but is something that we can rely on. We got just that. The size is great and the phone is very lightweight. Clarity is fine with no problems thusfar, and texting seems to be unproblematic. Did have some problems with storing messages but maybe we just need to work things out.
Excerpt: I recently purchased the new Pantech Slate cell phone and I love it. It is the thinnest cell phone out there with a full Qwerty keyboard which makes text messaging a breeze, not to mention, fun! The Pantech Slate is just the right size to fit in your hand and has a nice, textured back side that prevents it from slipping. The phone is just available in basic black but has blue keypad keys which give it a nice color combo.
Excerpt: I have had this phone now for just about 2 years. It is a nice light easy to use phone. The features are good, light weight, buttons are easy to use (not too close) on the text pad. The general apps that come loaded on it are good. A few games, rings tones, and organization features are a good perk. But the clarity when talking is not very good at all. I almost have to be in an extremely quiet space to be able to hear someone.
Excerpt: The Pantech Slate is a great phone for the crazy texting teenager. The full QWERTY keyboard is very easily used and is great for messaging for any sort. Some games are available however the pricing can be quite high. Email can also be check and the internet is acceable. However, a data package must be purchased or ou can just pay as you go, which can get very, very expensive. Of course, it can call and it has exceptional call quality.
Pretty good with a few glitches every once in a while

Excerpt: This phone is exactly what I wanted. It makes voice calls, is great for text messages, and has an alarm clock. It is not an iPhone, it is not a smartphone, it is not a digital camera. I'm guessing some of the negative reviews come from people who did not have an educated sales rep, or did not take the time to do the research themselves.
Pantech Slate is a decent phone but is really cumbersome to use.

Excerpt: The Pantech Slate is a decent phone but is really cumbersome to use. When you are testing it in the store is seems great but the more you use the more cumbersome it becomes. It is rather large (4.25" x 2.5") and constantly gets in the way when you have it riding on your belt. The sound is good and the large screen is great. The keyboard is similar to a computer keyboard so texting is very fast and easy.
