  • Conclusion: With its killer keyboard, the Pantech Slate is like a BlackBerry for the SMS set. If you text more than you talk, this is your phone.
  • Pros: Sublime QWERTY keyboard. Large screen. Solid battery life. Inexpensive with-contract price.
  • Cons: Not enough memory to store media music files. No memory card slot. Some Bluetooth pairing issues.

Pantech Slate Review

Phone Arena
3 April 2009
  • Conclusion: So the Pantech Slate may not win the award for best looking device but we have to say that it is functional and gets the job done in terms of messaging. Although there are a lot of features that may seem lacking, or even missing, it’s quite a functional device at its core without all the fancy bells and whistles. Sure it’s missing some “standard” stuff such as 3G and microSD support that you’ll see on other similar devices.
  • Pros: Lightweight and thin, QWERTY keyboard, Great battery life
  • Cons: The email client supports only some servers, Column view web browsing, Limited storage capacity, Unappealing design
