Pantech Pocket (AT&T)

PC Magazine
29 January 2012
  • Conclusion: The Pantech Pocket has an interesting design with considerable benefits, though a few flaws that have nothing to do with its shape hold it back.
  • Pros: Powerful Android phone for the price. Squarish 4:3 screen improves messaging, Web browsing, and videos. Stellar battery life.
  • Cons: Poor voice quality. Some sluggishness. Mediocre camera. Uncomfortable to hold for voice calls. Must pull the battery to swap memory cards.

Pantech Pocket (AT&T) Android smartphone review

14 December 2011
  • Summary: The Pantech Pocket is a unique smartphone amidst a sea of look-a-likes. Featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio display (as opposed to the more common 16:10 or 16:9 seen on most smartphones), the Pocket looks almost like a pocket-sized tablet - likely where Pantech got its inspiration for the name of the device.
  • Pros: Solid build quality, large display
  • Cons: Wide format can be awkward, disappointing camera

Pantech Pocket Review

Phone Arena
28 November 2011
  • Conclusion: As much as we’d love to give props to Pantech for enabling the Pocket to stand out with its untraditional size, there’s nothing really going on elsewhere to make it a polarizing offering. Actually, it’s more of the same from Pantech’s camp, as they have yet another middle of the road offering that’s affordable on any budget.
  • Pros: Non-traditional size, Solid build
  • Cons: Overall sluggish performance, Shoots ugly photos and videos, Washed out looking display
